Migrants wrongly get tax credits....

Plus, I'd really like to see these moaners actually exist on what an average asylum seeker receives in benefits. Just because the newspapers bleat about asylum seekers getting phones, cars and castles doesn't make it true. It's an extremely bleak, desolate experience for most.Comping wins this month: 2 x business class flights anywhere we like | Horse vitamins (!) | New kettle | Motorcycling prints | Signed LPs | Thanks to all!0

Taking EU immigrant workers only, they contributed £120million to the economy between last may and september and paid £20 million in tax and NI, if think that a lot of the most qualified people, doctors etc come from places like India, the amount they pay on their wages is even higher.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

See, I remember reading those facts a while back. I admit to not being 100% clued up on the immigration/asylum statistics, but it really rankles me when people bang on about how 'all of them get everything and we get nothing'. It's pure BS.Comping wins this month: 2 x business class flights anywhere we like | Horse vitamins (!) | New kettle | Motorcycling prints | Signed LPs | Thanks to all!0

Therefore these people wouldnt qualify for tax credits then...would they!
Fair play to people that come over here to work.
My gripe is those that come here to sponge off the system.

If it's so bleak - why bypass other countries to get here..??????0 -
All this fuss makes me think about the latest debacle with foreign doctors, a lot of them have been told that they must now get visas and have been told that the hospitals must justify why a European doctor does not have their job.
If European based doctors actually wanted the jobs in the first place then there would be no need to employ doctors from the other side of the world to fill the jobs initially.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. They would be as entitled as any UK resident to claim !!I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. CIS wrote:Its only a perception that 'foreigner migrants' dont to pay in to the tax system, migrants who come usually do so to work and are often much better qualifies and experienced than the British people who complain (how many Indian born doctors prop up the NHS ?)
People need to seperate the migrant workers from the asylum seekers, who in real terms dont actually qualify for most benefits, those that they do get are reduced, and they aren't allowed to work even if they wanted to.
And remember that there are just as many people who are British born who do scam the system, are they jealous ???

I also think that immigrants need to be seperated from illegal immigrants. The problem is that the press stir this all up without getting the actual facts correct. The are many immigrants that are hard working, honest people and making the economy better as a result. Plus they are entitled to tax credits the same as you or I if they are on a low pay. However, if they have been overpaid then they will be asked to pay it back the same as you would. The problem is not the immigrants but the govenments system which needs to be overhauled.0 -

Lesser of the evils - might be even worse in other countries?Comping wins this month: 2 x business class flights anywhere we like | Horse vitamins (!) | New kettle | Motorcycling prints | Signed LPs | Thanks to all!0 -
Hello
All of immigrants are not in same boat. For your kind attention most of the literate immigrants like doctors, nurses, pharmacist ,software professionals & et al pay full UK tax as well as national insurance. These people as they get further good opportunities in other countries they leave UK.When they leave they just get the last 5 years tax excluding national insurance & no pension benefits. Moreover if work permit holder looses job they are not entitled to any benefits & they have to leave UK with in one month. That’s why no body will utter word against their employer. Some of them are paying employer national insurance also from their own pocket. Although I think it is not mandatory to pay the employer national insurance.
Interestingly UK universities do charge premium rate (10-12k/year) for the international students (excluding students from USA, EU) from developing countries. They do pay 350 GBP each year for visa extension extra so that they can study.Workpermit holders also pays similar visa fees. Students like Work permit holders are also not entitled for any benefits .
In my experience home office love to deport those people who work hard , students instead of illegal/legal immigrants who are involved in illegal activities. The simple reason is the cost of deportation as criminals often get easy access to UK legal system.0
