 Hi, this is my first post on MSE!

I got a Braun Silk-Epil Easy Start Solo epilator in Boots, Falkirk yesterday for £12.49. I'm not sure what the original price was (I could be wrong but I think Braun Epilators usually start at around £30?) Still, it should save me lots of money on expensive waxing and shaving products, and it hurts a lot less than I'd imagined! :D

The purchase qualified me for a '£5 off skincare' voucher, which I used for Time Delay hand cream, priced £5 exactly. Unfortunately, ALL the Advantage Point machines were 'out of order', so I didn't manage to bag any bonus points!

I got the same item in East Kilbride last week - it is £54.99 on the boots.com website - so think you got a great bargain!

    Well Done!:T

Today I got 150 pts voucher for soltan self tan starter kit & 100pts for soltan self tan wipe. Starter kits and wipes were half price and a sign saying bogof. At the till they didn't go through as bogof but sa honoured it so for £2.49 for 2 x starter kits and 67p for 2 x wipes I got 250pts. Actually got some other bits so spent over £10 and got voucher. Not a bad haul

Aww! Still no free wipes for me, or dh! Me thinks Boots doesn't like me :( LOL.

I loaded up a basket full of stuff, then took one look at the queues and promptly left!

  • Not sure whether this is the right place to post.

Managed to buy several boxes of Brita Filters (Maxtra) for £3. Each box contained 3 filters so £1 per filter.

The Maxtra ones are normally more expensive as they are the newer type. It said they normally sell at £12.50 per box which sounds about right.

When I asked why they were so cheap, they said it was because they don't normally sell them in boxes of 3 in that store because it is quite small store(which is true as I asked a month ago whether they sold them in packs of 3 as I never could find them)

The shop seemed to have had a glut of them. It may be worth checking the smaller stores (only if you're passing) in case there's a few small stores trying to get rid of them.

I don't feel so bad about buying the maxtra brita water jug (at reduced price) now. I had thought that it may have been the wrong decision as the filters are so expensive.

I also got the £5 voucher off time delay as which I spent on wipes as I had spent over £10 :-)
  • Just tried to order a few and it now says that it is out of stock! Shame, would have made great gifts!
