Today's Question - Where else but your body do you use a bar of soap Boots call a Botanics Body Bar?

The assistant this afternoon couldn't answer the queston and her superior got very grumpy when she joined the conversation, in the end they gave me the Weekend Pamper Kit with a purchase of two 99p soaps to get me out of the shop. :D

I've emailed Boots to ask what exactly should be in this offer, we'll see if they reply...

    Hi claren

Which branch of Boots did you get your Osh Kosh clothes from? This was posted on another thread:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=248805

and there are still no bargains in my local branch.

    Thanks

Hi Wendym - the store was Lancaster - think they had been reduced by 50% but had only just been reduced further to £5 or less per item (many of the items were only £1). Best bargain were girls pinafore dresses from £14.99 to £2. Hope you manage to find some.

In the sale eyeshadow 1.66, blusher 2.50, put any 2 together and get 500 points.

I had this pointed out by a nice SA in Birmingham.

Hi, Which Birmingham Branch was this in? i went to the big one opposite Marks and sparks this morning and the only stuff they had were some weird shades of foundation for £5. I quite like the ruby and millie stuff so i'd love to stock up!

    Thanks claren.

It's becoming really obvious that there is no national Boots reductions policy, which is a bit odd, expecially as some things are shipped in just at sale time eg Ruby & Millie in my branch, but at prices unrelated to anywhere else, and not honouring vouchers.

I'll just keep my eye on Osh Kosh here. Girls' pinafore dresses for £2 were an amazing find!

Did this too.. .bought exactly the same items, plus other items including free wet ones wipes and tried the botanics glitch thing but that didnt work for me either.. somehow the till charged me £4 for the Suncare kit and wipes. The receipt shows no sign of having used a £16.50 voucher - but shows my £5 skincare voucher redeem once but the till appears to have taken off £16.50 and £5 x 2?
I can only assume that the £16.50 was deducted as i paid loads less than i should have, BUT the only way I can work it out is this..

    no7 suncare bag £24.50
    no7 wipes £ 6.00
    - £16.50 voucher
    - £5 voucher (taken off twice somehow? ) = £4 total
plus cost of other items on top.

I cant complain as I did well for £4 but I dont understand how this happened unless they've fixed the glitch and the £16.50 coupon wont now scan for more expensive items.

I am now wondering is there another glitch that means that £5 coupon is being taken off the total for each No7 item purchased? in which case :j :j :j :j :j :j

I used a 16.50 voucher today, bought the 24.50 set, also got No7 wipes for 6.00 and used a 5.00 skin care voucher. Till charged me 1.00 and I got 2 gift bags. I bought other stuff as well so it didn't look too obvious.

edited to say - i've just been on boots.com - I noticed that the prices of cotton buds/ cotton wool balls have gone up since the glitch the other week, I suppose they have to recoup their losses somehow.
  • I've never been in Boots as often - went to Huddersfield branch today and they've brought out more toys and loads of books some from £1.00. Bought a baby first aid book for £1 as gift for my friend who's just had a baby. Bought Cadoo half price at £7.49, Polly pocket Limo-scene half price at £6.49 (saw in Woolies reduced but not as low), and a Get Scientific Make Your Own Energy for £2.25 (nearly 60% off). Used my latest £5 voucher to get a pack of No7 wipes and printed off ticket for 75 extra points (seems to be on every time I go in if you spend over £10). Took daughter with me and used my next £5 off voucher to buy her a pack of No7 wipes too! Love it!

............................I bought these yesterday and they never said a word, think you may have just had an assistant having a very bad day.

It's only the men's Botanics range which is supposed to be on BOGOF at the moment - found that out after I pointed out a BOGOF sign which had been left on another Botanics shelf.

Didn't mind too much about buying the soaps as there's only so much shave gel a girl can use!

I think you could be right about the assistant(s), must have been because I went to the beauty counter. ;)
