  • When I bought a phone from them I did not need a voucher to claim the cashback - it was automatically credited to my account after 90 days. The voucher was only for the free gift.

The cashback vouchers they supply are individual specific - i..e have name and details of customer on them plus some serial numbers which no doubt are unique.

If you lose them - not sure what you can do but its not possible to get copies from other people.

The vouchers are unique due to 16 digit serial numbers and not to mention name/address and order number all on one piece of paper.

Your best bet is to ask them again and offer to pay upto £10 as an admin cost.

They won't budge of course. Next phone trading standards http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/

    and Ofcom http://www.ofcom.org.uk/

They will advice on what action you can take. Buymobilephones.net are hindering you from making a claim - and I have not looked at the t&c fully, but I would doubt if they have a clause saying they cant replace the vouchers.

If it were a case you made an invalid claim, they could deny you but by not providing a copy of vouchers they stopping you from making a claim in first place. Any other organisation like phones4u would send out a copy form if you lost a form.

Think you should go to trading standards (on phone) rather than ofcom who will take their time to reply (they wont do much else). Its unfair trading practice even if they have some wording in their t&c, does not mean its right.

just to let you know. i send them a complaint and the answer was still there is nothing they can do about it even if i wanted to pay the admin fee. i insisted so hard on my problem that they finally accepted to charge me almost £30. they also said that because i insisted and proved them that other company send the vouchers if you loose them, they will change their term and cond. and include an admin fee if someone looses its vouchers.
the trading standards couldn't do anything for me.
thanks a lot for your advise anyway.
    cheers :money:
