Rang the company up told them my machine was out of warranty so how much would it cost to repair?
The (very) nice man said they could send me another machine for
£55:eek: or I could try first of all hoovering the back of the playstation and get rid of any dust and possibly purchasing a cleaning lazer disc to see if it started working again.
So my son gave it a good hoover and dust and hey presto it's working again.
Thanks for solving that one - two heads are definitely better than one;)0 -
Bought a lazer disc cleaner today, I rang Dixons they said they'd be between £10 to £20 when they got some more in. Rang Music zone got one for £4.99 very MSE :j :j just hope the playstation works after this.0

magoogy wrote:playstation actually replace their sets free of charge for you if it is a genuine fault - when you bought it you shouldve got a phone number - if you ring them they will arrange to pick it up/drop off a new one at your house - when i had to do this they came the next day.....sister has changed her ps1 twice and ps2 once so i know they do it for both.......look for the number and try
I don't want to spend £55 when I know my DS will be wanting to upgrade to a PS3 before too long...
Mine is 2 years old, wish I had seen this thread earlier and replaced it before...0
