i dont know how true this is (hopefully someone can clarify it) but i have heard bailiffs are like vampires.....
if you let them come into your home once, then they can come back at anytime without seeking you permission. for this reason they will try tactics such as asking to use the loo or asking to use your phone to try and gain that initial entry into your home.
It's not relevant to the OP's issue (which I mention only to re-assure the OP, not to criticise your comment/question). However the "bailffs are like vampires" idea isn't terribly helpful; it's not anywhere near as simple as that. Long story very short, the exact powers a bailiff has at any one time are determined by the type of bailiff they are and the type of warrant they're executing. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
thanks guys for the great advice. They are still hassling me for more money but im ignoring this and logging each call. Each week im sending £10 it's all i can afford right now.
They are not replying to any of my letters and still phoning. it's my mums house and she is getting really annoyed.0 -

Good that you are sending them regular payments though - its always better to send something rather than nothing.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
