As has been pointed out answer two is the correct response as it is a standard fit immobiliser (The vehicle group will already take into account that the car comes with a Thatcham Approved immobiliser)0

Thanks guys.
I've just spoken to the dealer principal and he's checked up for me and it does come with a factory fitted immobiliser plus Renault's own RAID system and when I mentioned Thatcham he checked again and confirmed that it is Thatcham approved Category 2.
When filling in the online quote form there is a drop down menu with those seven points I mentioned in my OP, so it seems it actually meets two of those, I'm now wondering if you can click just one. I'll ring the insurers anyway and make sure they know it's both.
Thanks again all of you for your replies.0 -
the answer is still 20

If it is cat 2 has it been re-certified annually ? many claimants have been shocked when they put in a claim and it is turned down. Put down std factory.0

If it has the factory fitted equipment then that is what you declare. The insurers will know what the protection level of all OE systems is.0

We haven't done anything to re-certify it. I'll have to check the wallet of books etc that came with the car to see what it says.
I'm playing our old insurer off against a cheaper quote at the moment and waiting for them to come back to me. I did check that they had factory fitted immobiliser down and said that it apparently is Thatcham approved Cat 2 as well and she said they'd already got both down. This is all stuff OH doesn't remember from setting this insurance up from last year and now I've got to sort it all out for the new insurance year!
I'll make sure that they definitely have the factory fitted immobiliser down though, so thanks for that.0 -
Just select the MFR fitted box you don't need to select both.
As you have discovered it has a immobiliser which on Thatcham's security scale is Cat 2. I think Cat 1 is alams etc. These are fitted iirc to all Renaults as standard.0
