I appear to have many multiples of a lot of things from pots, frying pans, bowls, plastic things...:o

Just retrieved another egg from Mrs H Eggdon, now got half a dozen.:smileyhea, love them chickens I do.:A

Toots re 'Mother's, completely understand and empathise, when I'm asked for my Mothers maiden name I usually say 'Satan'.:D

Estrangement works for me, some people are cruel, bitter and sadistic and unfortunately for some of us they're our parents.

I work on the basis that I break the cycle by being a thoughtful and decent parent and refuse to allow bitterness and hatred to colour my life (except when pre-mentrual :D).

I particularly work really hard at not having the 'cat licking pish off a thistle' expression that appears to have landed on my Mother's face about 40 years ago. :rotfl:Great motivator that one.;):D XXX

AnW's Mum - cheeky mare!!!! i did not nod off during the service I am awake!!! and it was lovely as there was a baptism and the wee girl was beautiful and beautifully behaved. Hope you and Miss A have a fabulous time at .................................. whatever concert you are going to - cant remember who it is and not sure if i have heard of them - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

well it seems there are are few problem mothers - thanks everyone with your sympathy, empathy and tales!!!! That was yesterday - today is another day and mine is back at the end of the phone so no problem there - until she rings that is!!!!:rotfl:

I had a lovely morning - the service was very different from what i used to and I met some lovely people - have now had something to eat - spoken to NOF and N- done a washing so now its ebay time - as much as I can - must catch up with the numbers like wilf and pigpen have done!!!

DB has just phoned to say that my niece and goddaughter was 2nd in a triathlon today in aberdeen - she has the cold and was tired after yesterday so delighted for her - I think thats her best position so far.

well the great room swap is almost done!! magscat came to help and ended up cooking a lovely roast chicken for us all!! OH was the beast from hell but has calmed down now we are almost sorted, so DD has a bedroom to come home to, I now have a postage stamp sized desk which my laptop fits on (just!!) shoved up a corner in the new study but as I pointed out to OH it is a laptop and I can work on the dining table and spread out I just really need somewhere to 'park' it when it's not in use! Just need to clear one book case in DD's room now and then all that needs doing is that OH needs to clear out the drawer units and throw away (ha!ha! like that's going to happen-it will get re-located to the garage no doubt) the crud he has stored in there, roight off the keep clearing (am under strict instructions to THROW SOME STUFF AWAY, OMG HOW HAVE YOU GOT SO MUCH JUNK IN HERE?)

Decorations now up. I just have a little fibre optic tree but it looks nice. I also have a tree bout 5 inches high. A few years ago I got burgled just before xmas when I was night shift. They cleared the house of everything xmas presents, clothes the lot. I had my suspicions but couldnt prove anything. Anyway I bought myself this tiny tree cos I was determined to have a xmas. So I still put it up each year. It reminds me how good people were and helped.

(Isn't cooking in someone else's house a challenge? You never know where anything is (well - you do at Msgnomey's - it'll be in the dishwasher...::ducks::)

But - we have dun it! Rooms have been moved and yes, she is under very strict instructions to THROW THINGS AWAY!!! (Ahem, I mean *declutter*). Everything that got moved is now very clean, though (that's most of the upstairs).
