Anyone used remobile.co.uk?

Has anyone purchased anything from remobile.co.uk?

I've "Googled" for reviews, but can't find anything for them.
Whois info matches website info, but does'nt really tell you much more

Thanks

    A couple of tips.
If there's no reviews on the billions of pages that Google searches, thats probably bad.
If no one responds to requests for info on them, thats probably bad.
If a company uses a googlemail email address, thats probably bad.
If a website has a page labelled "T+C's (boring)", thats probably bad.
If the propietor also has the website boratmankini dot co dot uk, thats probably bad. (Store currently offline)
If the proprietor used to run 6021 dot co dot uk which has now disappeared, thats probably bad.

    Stay away.

    Thanks

I purchased a refurbished blackberry from them through play.com. Items arrived in 2 days and were as described. Phone also came with a 12 month warranty. HTH.

Thanks to your info, I checked out rating on Playtrade and it's 100% on 82 ratings :T (assuming they're the same company) I might go via Play, just in case.
    Thanks for that.

You raise some fair points. Can I ask how did you link in remobile/boratmankinni and 6021 as the same site owners, looking at http://whois.domaintools.com/ they all have the same registrar of Mike Irwin though, so you appear to be correct. Some nice research indeed.

Must agree, I am also curious how you would go about this?
Many thanks for the time and effort you've obviously put into compiling this info.

Mike Irwin also runs a website design company.

I can't see myself spending 2 and half grand (plus vat) if his homepage is anything to go by.

  • Hi I came across this thread and felt that as the owner of remobile.co.uk (mike Irwin) I felt the need to reply to some of the above comments about our websites. To answer sewerside, I was also surprised that there were no reviews on us anywhere about remobile co uk currently we are selling around 3000 refurbished mobiles a month on this website so I would have thought there would be some somewhere. If you want to see feedback on us, we actually use play (remobile 80+ 100%) and ebay (remobile-ltd 300+ 100%) on these sites you can read real feedback about us. If you are still in any doubt over using remobile.co.uk then purchase using a credit card, then if something goes wrong you are covered 100% by your card company. Yes as a company we used to own boratmankini co uk, we have a guy working for us who used to work for a very well know boys toys company, one day he suggested that we sell them as there wasnt a dedicated website selling them, so we built the site and sold 1000's, it wasnt quite the company profile but it provided us with a laugh! (This website has now been off nearly 9 mths as Borat has moved on). www 6021 co uk is a website dedicated to the Nokia 6021, as it is now impossible to get genuine parts for the phone we had to turn the website off to avoid people buying them. We also own www 6310i co uk and www nokia6230i co uk which are dedicated to those models. As for the comment about the T+C's and it saying boring, it was meant as a bit of humour as if you read them they are very boring, we have taken that on board and have just changed it. We use googlemail as it stores every e-mail ever received and sent, that way in say a year if some contacts us we can find any order and correspondance easily and quickly - Personally I think that is a good thing. To also answer coopdivi about the website design company. We are based in a smallish town and there are several website designers here charging local company £1000's to design simple sites, which annoyed us as they are ripping them off. If you check we actually charge £250 not £2500 and we have done several for local business. If anyone needs anyother information about us our phone number is on every site as is our direct e-mail address.
  • nothing like self advertisement is there lol
  • I bought a phone from these guys. It arrived within a couple of days, was exactly as described, and what is more - it works properly. Which is more than I can say about one I bought at great expense direct from Nokia last year which didn't and I had the devil's own job of making them refund me. It took a letter to the MD of Nokia Europe quoting distance selling regulations before they gave me my money back. I've just ordered another phone from Remobile. Hopefully it will arrive as quickly and be as good as the first. If it doesn't/isn't, I'll be posting again
