You need make a new playlist in itunes and drag all the songs you want to the new playlist.
You then plug in the ipod and click on its icon in itunes. Under the music tab select sync selected playlists only ( make sure the playlist you made is the only one ticked)
You then hit sync and any music will be transfered to the ipod
The playlist can be altered and music added and removed and all you do is plug in the ipod and it will sync0 -

Be aware that if you select the automatic transfer option, it will automaticaly copy over everything on your PC, including loads of crap songs your kids have downloaded that you'll never listen to. :rolleyes:0 -

It goes like this....iPods are great ...iTunes is horrible. I would like to think I have clue but iTunes just never seems to be that user friendly.bugbabe1970 wrote: »Morning all,

I just tend to untick on mass the stuff I don't want in the library. Once the iPod is plugged in, click on its icon on the left hand navigation pane and sync all selected songs.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0 -

Personally, I think iTunes is great. It effortlessly organises my music and videos, and it is very simple to use. Lots of people seem to have problems with syncing music, but I have always used my iPod on manual from day one; perhaps that explains why it has behaved so well all this time.0 -

Unless you have an album with the artist featuring different guests then it goes mental. and you have to manually change all the artist details to the same, useing the compliation is fine for itunes, but not for the ipod touch system.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740 -
It's hellish complicated bugbabe! I had to phone a friend when I first got mine, the copying from the library bit had some small thing I had to do which I'm sure wasn't in my manual...I put about 500 tracks on and only updated it once in 2 years as I only use it in the car
