iphone/orange/O2 query!
Hi,
Just wondering, I currently have an iphone with an O2 payg sim card in it, but reception at my house is shocking (even though O2 says it's fine - and I checked with them before I got the phone!) Phone basically doesn't work at all as no service received but fine when I'm away from home so I know it does work.....
Anyway, I know from previous experience that Orange coverage is great at my house, so the question is, can I put an Orange payg sim in and see what happens?
Thanks from a very confused iphone owner

It'll still be locked to O2.. that is your problem.
This might be applicable to you though:
http://shop.o2.co.uk/update/unlockmyiphone.html
Or you could simply jailbreak to unlock your iPhone.0 -
if it is a PAYG iPhone o2 wont unlock it until it has been live on their network for 12 months.
If you are well under the 12 months you will need to consider doing an unofficial unlock (which works fine), I have used it and use a T-Mobile sim in my iPhone 3G.
Go to http://blackra1n.com/, and click the windows flag icon (if you have a PC) to download, no technical knowledge is needed to use it (other than to click "start" on the program).====0
