You have to demonstrate that there is no other way possible on this Earth that could have found out this information.
Do, please, calm down - there is such a thing as a "co-incidence"Could I write them as a caution ?
Not sure what you mean. As a caution against what, exactly?and maybe ask them to delete all the information the have about me ?
If the information is true/accurate and gathered by the company legitimately, then no.There must be a way to stop this kind of behaviour where written evidence is not available ?
I'm not sure that there is. The recruitment person revealed information about you. That's not an issue.
The question is, did this recruitment person simply repeat information that was freely available "in the public domain"?
Or did she reveal confidential information only available "privately" through her job?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
I'm amazed that people "How do you know?"
How else would these people know anything if the OP hasn't told them ? There's only really one source.
Criminal convictions are very, very much in the "public domain". And the recruiter could have heard from a friend, of a friend, of a friend.
If the conviction is "fact" and in the public domain (as they all are, unless the identities of those are with-held, for privacy reasons) then the OP has no chance.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -

Information revealed which was available scritly through their job. This information is now available free in public domain after being released.
Yes the company holds legit infomation about me given by me.
In the interview interviewer told me that this information wont be released to the agency either.0 -

If my auntie had balls, she'd be my uncle.
This stuff isn't in the public domain as in plastered all over the place...you'd have to go look for it. Similarly, these mates aren't likely to have started a conversation with enquiries about someone's criminal records...they are far more likely to be volunteered as gossip. Just like any medical or other private info they happen to have access to maybe ? Why stop when they are having fun ?
Ockhams law applies here. The simplest solution is usually the right one. In this case it's obvious what happened. Cahnces are it it isn't addressed it will happen again.
I wonder how many excuses people would make if it were their own personal details being divulged?

I don't know if this information was obtained as a result of a CRB check (especially as you mention their head office is in Dublin), but the CRB would take a dim view of your confidential information leaking all over the place as well.Signature removed for peace of mind0
