Afternoon everyone
I've not been on hee much over the last few days due to horrendous decorating project - you know the kind, you think it will take 3 days maybe and 3 WEEKS later you're just about finishing [never again!!!]
Moniker - Glad to hear the wedding went well - congratulations to you and the family and hope you have a lovely time in Germany.
Franby - have you got a neighbour or nearby relative that could either share the voucher with you or help out with a lift to and from the shop ???
Off to paint some more now so that the decs can finally get put up before my kiddies leave home in disgust at me lol

£4.46 today - The cupboards are getting a little bare but I am getting a delivery tonight of another basic weeks worth of the usual stuff which should take the budget to just over £300.
I am still going to try and resist buying Christmas food (my Mum is bringing the turkey etc - my share is basics and kiddy stuff) until my delivery next Tuesday.
I will see if I can share the voucher or get a lift but it's really only the Co-op's way of forcing money out of me and I think I'd rather stick to my own plan this time.August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -

Hello everyone, not doing tooooo bad with the budget, get paid again on friday so my month will begin again then. Read somewhere (sorry can't remember who posted) that they had prepared their veg, carrots, roast potatoes etc and then frozen them, what do you do to them? Would really help me on the big day if the veg were done but I have no idea what to do. Cheers.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

poppy-glos & cw18 - The Morrisons advert was on TV last night, the Choc fingers are Buy 1 get 2 Free at £1.39 - hope that helps.;) Also noticed on the same advert that Choc Oranges are also Buy 1 get 2 Free at £2.36 so I think I will be popping along there later.:o
Came home with 6 boxes of fingers (which, incidentally, only worked out 16p cheaper than buying 6 of the Mr M own brand which are on a half price offer at 49p/box), and 3 eggs which will be added to the (very) small pile of "stocking fillers" for my children (who are now 18.5, almost 21, and just turned 26).
Only the fingers need to be declared on here though, as pressies are a totally separate budgetNow I just need to keep MY fingers off them until the 'overeating season' kicks in properly at the end of next week

Good evening everyone
I had been hoping to have a few no spend days to at least get me to half way point in the month, butno such luck! I think I am incapable of having more than the odd one! Have spent bits & bobs in the Co-op, Aldi, Pound Stretcher & Iceland the last few days & £89 in Mr T's today. Mr T's are so bad for over charging. Noticed that my two books for £7 had gone through at full price so got double the difference back but didn't notice that my two blocks of pastry hadn't gone through at the offer price. Thing is I wasn't intending to go back to Mr T's until after xmas so I am a bit annoyed.
I can't believe how close I am already to my budget and I still have the turkey & veg & poss xmas pudding to go plus possibly more toilet rolls, gluten free sausages, passata and baked beans to buy. Maybe, just maybe, if these are all I actually buy, I will make target but it's going to be very tight if I do!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -
Evening everybody,
I haven't posted for a little while, but have been reading along. My total is now £15 over - and I will need to shop tomorrow for potatoes, plus some fruit as we are totally out (except for 4 brown bananas which I will make into banana bread).
Overspends due to having another big MrT shop delivered on Friday night. This got us loo rolls to last until the end of Feb (hopefully) plus a bottle of dark rum (my fave) and lots of meat to stash in the freezer. I also got a tin of Ros*s chocs - well it is nearly Christmas.....
Found a rogue 1L bottle of Bailey*s when I unpacked everything - hadn't been charged so I guess that they packed it by mistake. That will come in handy when we have visitors. Anyone have a recipe for bailey*s cheesecake??
My Dec GC officially ends on Monday 21st so I reckon at least another £10 on F&V should do us.
Off to update sig.
