Gah!! When will they learn that 'doing the dishes' includes drying, putting away & wiping down surfaces. And not just washing & leaving them to drip dry.
Washing up in my household is just that - hardly ever dry anything unless it's something I had to wash as I need to use it again now ;) They get put away (and the draining board gets wiped) just before the next load gets washed :rolleyes2

I personally don't see the point in wasting time drying them all, as it means lots of tea towels to be washed as well (and at this time of year that also means putting them through the tumble drier) - so leaving pots to air dry is much more environmentally friendly IMO

Only a couple of small spends to report. £3.20 on a box of Newberry Fru1ts for Christmas as I never ever see them for sale and we always used to get a box each from Nana when I was a girl. Also spent £4.00 on some wash stuff to re waterproof the winter coats and £2.49 on a big jar of Nesc@fe from £stretchers.

Have added in £16 for earlier spend in Mr S that I lost receipt for and isn't showing in tinternet so I can keep track of overall spends. I can always update the total once it appears.

I only need milk during this week and will need fruit at the weekend. Also will try and get a turkey crown from Ald1 that has been recommended at £7.99.

There is enough in the freezer to feed us unitl Christmas and I will get the fresh stuff the week before.

• We did quite well this week and only did one shop. Spent £42.50 in MrS but this should keep us going up until xmas now. We still need to do the xmas food shop but we already seem to spending so much less now we're keeping an eye on what we're buying and making sure we use everything we buy.

x_raphael_xx glad someone else has same problems.

I don't mind them being left to dry, actually rarely dry them myself and will happily put them away, but the not wiping the surfaces and top of cooker does my head in  (I am slightly OCD I think :o!!)

The spoon thing does my head in too!!

Had a NSD today as forgot purse ;) also gained bag of Lidl Mini Milk Chocolate Balls from a patient as I photocopied stuff for him!! OH will no doubt eat them as I am trying to resist chocolate.

Lamb Stifado cooked for tea with left over potatoes from yesterday so that will take all of 5 minutes to heat when I get in.

Had a couple of shops since I last posted, mainly on bread (too lazy to make my own :o), milk, fresh orange juice and Dh bought multivitamins.

Today did my first biggish shop of the month which came to £45.66 which did include £5 for a tin of heroes, a large bar of galaxy and 2 terry chocolate oranges (yum yum).

There was no meals in that though which is a bit pants because the rest of it was made up of milk, yogurts, fruit (lots of fruit) biscuits (again), cold meat and female things:p.

The fruit, biscuits and the cold meats should last us about 2 weeks hopefully, so if im really careful with my meal planning, I shouldnt need to go anymore shopping until towards the end of the week.

Off now to catch up on the thread.
