    Thanks

I tried confused.com, but my dad wanted me to get fully comp, and it came at around about £1300 for the year

finally found the cheapest place to be tesco car insurance, for £800 a year, but i have to wait till a turn 21, so thats a month away

its stupid, as surely i will forget and become a worse driver by sitting here and waiting :-(

anyhow thats my rant over, and slightly off topic
aww bless ya!!well as im over 25 by quite a few years mines dead cheap!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

106 are lovely cars. I had an XSI 1.6 and then a Quay west 1.9 diesel.
Both lovely, obviously, xsi was nicer due to the power.
Your dad wants you to go fully comp? Just wondering, if its for pootling and practising, is it worth paying to repair your own car?
Im sure im right insaying TPF+T covers everything apart from repair to your own car? Its alot cheaper and if you car isnt worth too much, then the money you save by not going fully comp would probably more than pay for any repairs to your own car?
    IE :
You car is worth say £500 (hyperthetical)
    Fully comp is £1300
    THPFT - £600/700 (guess)
That 600 you save by going third party fire and theft would pay for any repairs?
Maybe completely off with figures but just to try and explain what i mean :-)
embarrassed to say I used to work for barclays..sorry

I had a 1.5 diesel 106. Bought for £500, towed boats and went to uni for 2 years on it and then sold it for a years road tax on my new car.

The 1.4 diesel engines are bad. My 1.5 diesel was noisey but started all the time.

106s do roll round corners (french design :\) but it holds the road well.

    Enjoy.

I have a Haynes Manual for a 106 going spare if anyone wants one

Be careful if you have the original 106. The pedals are very close together. You can sometimes press two at the same time.

LOL I had to laugh at this, i have has my 106 for the last 5 years and finally got a newer car - 206 now - and i find the pedals on the 206 weird but people tell me its my old car with the weird pedals! NEVER! There all wrong!

omg the pedals are soooooo close togehter!!i'm learning in a brand new corsa, so when i get in my little pug i have to drive barefoot cos i have big feet, and the pedals are so near and over to the left!!Apart from that it's a perfect little car!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

exactly what i do.. i have big feet and i where basketball shoes ... MASSIVE footprint!!
So i drive barefoot..is it legal? Im not sure it is.. Some people say its dangerous but personaly i find it easier because you can really feel the pedals.
Anybody know whether its legal or not?
