Hope things get sorted for you catmiaow - I can't believe your management aren't doing everything they can to sort you out! If a payroll !!!! up happens at my workplace ( which isn't too often) we immediately pay the person by cheque under the understanding they reimburse us when they are paid. I hope yours will do the same for you.

On another note I have just sold another couple of things on Netmums. I have been putting all the money in a moneybox and have added it up and there is nearly £100 in there!:j As the proceeds come from selling the kids' things for a couple of quid here and there we have decided to buy them something special to share. My mum has agreed that she will put their Christmas money towards buying a Wii, so this will be a huge unexpected surprise for them on Christmas Day. This will be in addition to their normal presents, as it is really 'their' money buying it, and we never go overboard buying them pressies anyway. Now I am just trawling through the various deals trying to work out the best one!
  • My work would issue a cheque too if there had been a screw up - thought this was the norm! Hope you manage to resolve this swiftly catmiaow

    Today I:
    • am doing a few extra hrs in 3rd job
    • will try and keep the heating off when I get back indoors
    • will be eating lunch for free at work
    • will be using 'free' texts to make contact with friends
    • will try hard to have a NSD

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Few things from me this weekend -

    1) 'Free' lottery ticket as joined through Topcashback and got £4 back. Didn't win tho! :rotfl:

    2) Using 1 teabag for 2 cups, a tip I picked up on this wonderful site

    3) Went food shopping & used the free Milka bar voucher I found through the freebies board.

    4) Bought a jumper for an Xmas pressie from Tesco - was reduced from £25 to £15 and when I got to the till it scanned at £7.50! Don't you just love it when that happens?! Same thing happened at Tesco last weekend aswell. Was looking for a dress for a party and saw one for £22 and when it went through the till it came up as £10.

    Afternoon all!

It's been ages since I joined in but a recent redundancy scare for my hubby has made me realise I need to get back on track.

    This weekend I have:

-Only used central heating when really needed (it is gorgeous but soooo cold today!)
    -Done Onepoll surveys
-Got loads of BOGOF offers at supermarket
-Organised my cupboards for a use up month to keep costs down for December
-Put a £2 in my terramundi

    I will:

-Sort packed lunches for work tomorrow
-Update my sig (it was completely out of date) - DONE!
-Spend some time catching up on here cos it was been so long!

    Thanks for having me back!

    xxxxxx

  • Hello everyone

Very wet and miserable here weatherwise all day. Feel a bit sad as my sister flew to Oz today - happy for her but will miss her, she's back in Feb.

Went to local town with DS2 this am - I've remembered why I rarely venture into shopping places, it was hideously packed. Not to mention the temptation - OoOo, I want an iPhone now.Picked up a couple of things I planned to get so not a NSD, never seem to manage those when DS's are around!

Came back and baked biscuts with DSs and OH cooked Sunday roast, yum.

Hokey cokey all sorted and put away - but basket will be full again by tomorrow night I know.

Bank checked and as expected. ( Bit boring - I get all excited on a day when a DD goes out and I can highlight it on my spreadsheet)

All cash need for this week bagged up or put into pots ready.

Added spare change to sealed pot ( spurred on by Bagpuss' amassed fortune)

Hope you all had a good DFW day

    Belle
    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.
