            Hi again, you all seem to have been far more productive than me today.
 1) Sc x £1 again
 2) Dinner from stores
 3) Payments to CCs
 4) Went to local tat shop and bought baking trays and a kit to mend B's glasses. 95p - far cheaper than going to the optician!
 5) I want to put up some coatracks in the hall. The ones I was looking at in Homebase were £17 for 5 hooks. Today I bought 8 hooks for 25p each from the tat shop and will look for some wood tomorrow to make my own coat rack!:j
 6) Had free fun at the birthday party. Found a nice present, card and wrapping paper in my stash too.
 I was also naughty and bought a gorgeous new Sanderson duvet set from Homesense. It was reduced from £115 :eek: to £18. :jBut no matter how much I try and justify it I haven't 'saved' £97 - I have spent £18!
 Very glad to be home now and out of the torrential rain, and very thankful that our house is safe and warm. X-factor on the telly with the kids, book then bed I think.
 Have a funky night, L x0

            Thanks guys! Don't worry I will speak to the top manager tomorrow(line manager useless) The job is 25 mins each way from my house, so if they don't pay me I won't be able to afford to go until they do! :mad:No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one! :mad:

            Morning All!!!
 Up far too early for a Sunday, but, woke and couldn't go back to sleep and I have loads to do, so in the end I just got up!!! I have my list for the weekend and I will/have be working my way through it:
 Go to market and by Christmas pressie & Veg - done
 Make bread, cake, lasagne, roast dinner (most of it simulatneously to save energy)
 Make Christmas/ December b'day cards
 wrap presents
 NSD
 Take meter readings and update on website to reduce bill before paying
 meal plan for next 2 weeks - done
 No heating on at home
 washing indoors on airers
 Candy - any chance you could let me know the KFC seasoning recipe please? I would be intrigued...my OH loves KFC but is trying to be really good and save pennies (and waistline) by not eating there. I love KFC too, but, as I don't eat battery farmed poultry products, I don't eat there anymore either.
 Hope everyone os well today and having a good weekend0

            I spent a fortune..............well £8 in IKEA (a medium sized frying pan for £3 and some beers for a friend of mine for looking after my cat when I was on my hols);
 Also spent another £4 on a programme and a coffee at the football (as it was 2 degrees, going without a coffee was not an option!);
 I did get my cheaper than the shop price ski gloves when I got home yesterday evening which should see me through the Winter;
 Completed a Valued Opinions survey yesterday morning which takes me closer to another £10 reward (and I'm getting loads of VO surveys at the moment so I'm hoping I'm getting there before too much longer!);
 Will be getting some groceries in using my £5 Morrisons petrol voucher (incl a bag of bagels which usually keeps me in lunches for the week and saves me a few quid a day in the staff canteen!);
 And I am going to go to the gym today to get the benefit of my membership - and I've signed up for two early morning classes during the week in an effort to shift the holiday weight and get the most from my monies!!!
 I did also set up a new savings account yesterday and have signed up to put £25 a month into it on payday. That's a non-negotiable starting figure for me, but I will top it up at the end of each month with what's leftover. At the moment, that's due to be about £100 for this month.
 Today, I will be doing all my financial filing and things - I have two lever arch files of financial stuff which I usually sort out around the end of the month when all my direct debits have come off so that I can mark them off on my graphs (sad, eh?!)Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0
