Online Conveyancing - urgent recommendation needed..

My house sale looks like it's going through and I need to find someone to do the conveyancing. I've told the buyers, I'll finalise who I'm going to use today.
I've followed up a few recommendations supplied by friends etc but they're all coming in at @ 1K on a 275K sale which is a bit more than I was expecting to pay.
Online conveyancing seems like the way to go.. I used online conveyancing when I bought the house in 2000, however, that company no longer has an online presence. I'm desperately in need of some recommendations. Eeek - can anyone help..?
I'm based in South London if this makes any difference..

Who did you go with in the end? I'm looking for an online conveyancer myself!0

We've chosen to go with the company operated via https://www.house.co.uk (British Gas site)
NOT the lowest cost on-line service, but certainly around 1/2 that of solicitors. in the 'real' world.
EXTREEEEEEMLY impressed at efficiency so far!!
& it doesn't apply charges, should the sale not take place.
& hopefully, if things DO go wrong, we can at least complain to British Gas, rather than a totally unknown company!!

I am currently using these people, very impressed so far, online access, email updates, text updates and fairly cheap.

These guys look pretty good, looks like they do the work themselves and are not middle-men.0 -

I instructed https://www.easier2move.co.uk on Wednesday and yesterday they appointed a solictior for me: "Flecther Davies Solicitors". Anyone had any dealings with these guys? Good, Bad, Ugly? :rotfl:0

I just checked the Easier2Move quote... it seemed quite expensive to me.
Over £1000 more than conveyancing warehouse...certainly the legal fee + VAT are over half the Easier price.0 -
We spent hours looking through the internet for cheap conveyancing in April. You have to be careful because a lot of solicitors give you a cheap quote then hit you with lots of extras.
We went with https://www.conveyancing-warehouse.com as even with their extras (in our case a leasehold title fee) they were still less than half the price of most of the others. We completed our purchase within five weeks and were very happy with them.0
