1 car back - £600 lighter in the pocket (owwwwwww!)
We're rethinking Xmas dinner, and are now planning on spam and chips!
Think it might take another couple of pay-days before we find the funny side still - **sigh**
Thanks again all x0 -
Thanks for completing the thread ceebeeby. Too many threads are left with no conclusion.
Oh and BTW,
Get a length of clear pvc pipe from B&Q about 3 - 4m long, diameter 5 or 6milimetres,
Get a 25litre container, and any empty petrol cans you have lying around. You can get 25litre plastic barrels from heavy oil suppliers, heating oil suppliers, should be able to get one for 6 - 8 £,
Put it into the tank and suck it until you have filled the whole pipe, then close the end and put it into your 25 litre container. It helps if the car is parked on a hill or has some height differential from the wheels of the car to the top of the barrel.
You can then use that dirty petrol in your diesel tank at the rate of 1 or 2 litres per tank full of diesel, no wasteage!0 -

Even if you don't have your details to hand i'm sure you can call 118 118 for your breakdown contact number, then when you get through you can give them your name and address (which I hope you already know) and they can find you in the system
I have always done this approach and never had a problem0
