Windows 7 not compatible with loads of my stuff

Today my husband bought me a new laptop with Windows 7 on.
I have tried to load up my Dymo Label printer 310 but it doesn't recognise it, or it won't find any drivers.
I can't use MGI Photo suite which I have got used to over the years.
I can't check my emilas through outlook express and the list is endless. I feel so annoyed now.
I'm not even sure which anti virus software to use. It has given me a 30 day free trial of Mcfee???
Can anybody help in simple terms in how to get my emails. I know I can use Orange and mail2web etc, but want to use outlook as me and hubbie have a similar email address and had it set up that he gets his emails and I get mine.
Also I bought a dongle 3g a few weeks ago as we are having problems with orange broadband and now the dongle won't work with Windows 7.
I'm sick of having to cough up buying new software.

Blimey guys, thanks for the responses. I will try and do what you say.
At the moment I'm back on my old laptop using my dongle as Orange is still not working.
I made 23 phone calls to them and they blamed our router, etc.
It has been connected ok for about 5 days, but now it's playing up again.
They are meant to be sending us a free orange live box and giving us a reduced fee for the same package.
Sorry off topic, but fed up
I will try and get back on my new laptop and see what I can do. I may be back as I'm not very computer techie

They're mostly on about the compatibility stuff which is over my head
Microsoft have split out the email client into an optional free package called Windows Live Essentials, which is a slightly ironic name if they didn't supply it in there anyway, and includes other components
http://download.live.com/
Either go for that or a different email client as suggested above
For anti-virus, I wouldn't bother with McAfee. It's not bad, but uses a lot of resources, and there are better. I'd suggest the free personal version of Avira, which has been coming out near the top of reviews for a while. It had some slow update issues caused by queues on its servers not long ago, but they've changed file formats and whatever else and most update downloads are now small files and lightning fast, typically a second or two0 -
