It's failed though, hasn;t it - this " nice people" thread - lts become a mockery of kindness, cause someone, after nearon nice, kind threads amounting to 800 - had to put a spanner in the works and be cruel and spiteful. .

The occasional burst of spite is human. Most of us feel a fondness towards our fellow posters, which I hope cancels out the ...what..disdain? of some of the others. Its not really failed,no, not in reality -just most of the nice posters are busy or otherwise occupied...or bored ATM :)

What about the vaseline exploration you advised me to try the other day? That might chill you out? :A

That's slightly over egging the pudding I think. It will all be on an old page soon anyway, so the nice people can continue where they left off.

OK, plenty of random subjects have been discussed on here before.... but have we ever done phrases?

Yours quoted always reminds me of some posh(ish) annoying or smarmy bloke saying it? Not that I'm suggesting you are either Mr.Brown :) ..... just, for a moment there your voice sounded like that panto Biggins guy? :D

...not that I'm suggesting you're uber camp and overweight either :A

Anyhow, my question is- where does that originate from? What pudding? How many is too many? ...eggs, that is.

    over-egg the pudding (British)
to spoil something by trying too hard to improve it As a director, I think he has a tendency to over-egg the pudding, with a few too many gorgeous shots of the countryside.

No it's not actually. This thread, I thought, was not like like building a mass of dominos. It would have been the first internet thread on "nice people" with "nice" things to say about eachother, uninterupted, kind, faultless"

THere were no high expectations, no high hopes, no unbelievable goals, but just a thread that went beyong expectations, hopes and goals of consistant and continual kinkness.

    BUT IT FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
