Just had a look on the paypal website and it looks like you can add up to 8 email addresses... (and confirmation only goes as clicking on a link in an email they send to that address).

Oh my word... I've just caught up with this and I'm worn out. I don't live a million miles from michaels and I sense a couple of others also do. Maybe we can get together a group by pm, gather up michaels's stuff and our own tat, car boot it somewhere local to all of us and just send Sue a cheque. We'd also get to meet up (fun) but for something practical. Having a table each or between us. The only other time I've met MSE people was to help Mum of Twins move out of her temporary accommodation and it worked great.

Why not start a thread explaining what it's for and that we are looking for 50 members to forward £20 each to SS paypal or bank account, job done!

SS can thank everyone who says they are sending £20 if they do.

My paypal is defunct if i remember rightly (Never used it in years) but i'm happy to pay through my bank account. I'm sure that's secure as i often get payment that way in a business account but best check with someone who knows.

Can someone good with words create the thread... Lir i'm thinking of you ;)

Ebay will just take too long and get complicated.

    My tuppence worth:

Firstly, sue. Whilst you have all this crayzee stuff going on, it feels like a tidal wave, & it can seem like a struggle. To an extent, that is life.

However, when you have moments, once you reflect, you'll see that you have acheived stuff. Completion of your first year. Your kids are in a better position than they were a year ago. They will have learned new skills, as will you have.

Whilst you deal with stuff all the time, you're unaware of acheiving all this stuff, as you don't have time to pause & reflect & realise you've done stuff.

If you do one thing today, & I do believe you'll feel better. Take 5 mins. Make a nice hot cuppa. Use an envelope (as per wageslave) & list all the acheivements you've successfully done in the past couple of years - no matter how small. I guarantee that once you've scribbled a couple, they'll come flooding back, & you'll run out of envelope.

Whilst you enjoy the cuppa & make the list, read it. Then read it again. Whilst sipping, remember how it felt to overcome whatever obstacle it was. Have a little smile to yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back.

Keep the envelope. You might want to add to it, or even remind yourself again in the future.

All you need is a hot cuppa, pencil, scrap paper & a few minutes...

Now, I also see this issue with booking in time. I love all the ideas/suggestions etc.

I also see wageslaves point re procrastination.

How about set up an account for a whip round to pay for the booking up front. Get the holiday confirmed.
The, we can ebay/car boot to our hearts content.
Depending on what is raised, peeps can be refunded. If we get any extra, perhaps the kids could get a little treat for the holiday?

    It'd be like a mini credit union/co-operative.

    Just a suggestion.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I have only just caught up too. I haven't a clue about ebay, and I doubt if I have anything suitable anyway, but just wanted to say I'm up for a donation.

Pardon my not reading all of the foregoing - I've just skimmed it. Weather has improved so I'm not indoors much...... and we have visitors.... 3 lots!

Funny, we never had visitors at the other place! (confused, pull hair out smiley)

    How dare you!

You got there before me, whilst I was reading throgh the many pages of this that accrued after I went to bed last night.

Just 1 thing I feel we urgently ought to check:

Single Sue - are you OK with all of this???

It must feel weird having a bunch of strangers off the internet doing this...

Would it help to view it as a long-term loan you can pay back when you get that well-paying job?

Please let us know, or you'll be organised under the sofa, and we may not hear/notice the desperate squeaking coming from under there...

PS Never realised how many nice' posters live near me - there's quite a gaggle of us. Obviously a 'nice' part of the country. :)

Congratulations on your house, michaels, too.

    .

I've been talking with Sue via PM last night. There is no doubt she is very uncomfortable On the one hand she feels uncomfortable and embarrassed and other bad things, on the other, she sees something for her boys and feels conflicted.

I say, lets see if we CAN do it first of all....we miht not be able to: conflict solved. We miht be abe to: then the boys get it from us, Sue has to go along to take care of them:D
