Have I missed a new thread- where is it?! Yeah I also go with food, farm tales, blokes, music, weather, clothes ... erm, anything really :)

& lj, no, it really doesn't matter, I'm just nosey :D

:) As long as we're friends, thats the main thing.

& (in response to another thread) I can assure you, I'm no stalker or ignore list candidate :D

 I'm having another gender moment :D

Someone said blokes only drink lager and i thought you were female :)

It might have been me that said it though, it's been a long day :D

    Cheers anyway

At this rate, you're gonna get so confused you might have to check what gender you are!

I missed all that yesterday. But I already promised lj not to question 'his' (?) gender again, so must stick to it.

Joined this thread a bit late tonight and I promised myself to do some exercise before going to bed, so it's off onto that step machine for [STRIKE]30[/STRIKE] 10 mins.

I'm out a lot over the next few days too, so will miss out on some stuff. I hate it when I get left behind.

    See you! x

It is honestly no concern treliac :). Hope the excercise et al is going well.

With regards to all the holiday chat, I haven't been on a proper holiday since the petrol blockade which was 9-10 years ago. Strangely, we flew out the day it all started. We'd been away 3 days & not looked at the papers etc, & then walked past a newsagents & saw a "death on the forecourt" headline about some elderly guy who got into an altercation with someone else whilst queueing for fuel.

Returned a week later to find hardly any cars on the road  It was great!:D

In a way, it is quite scary that I haven't been away for so long.

So sjay, I'll join you in your melancholy/envy:o
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I really, really, really want a huge takeaway pizza now.

Just to add - I'm not very good at resisting temptation.

Guess what I bought myself on the way back from work today - a treat to myself for starting my new job?

Yup, a chicken upreme pizza, and all the trimmings.

    I am a happy (if slightly over-full) girl. :)

    It was yummy. :)

But the garlic mushrooms were a bit of a joke - if I hadn't actually paid for hem, it might have been quite amusing. As I had, I was a bit peeved to open a HUGE box - whole pizza size - containing 2 - yes, 2!!!!!! - measly mushrooms, and a random slice of garlic bread (which I hadn't actually ordered).

As it was a takeaway, and I was all the way home, it was a bit late to go back and demand my other missing mushrooms and point out that garllc bread and garlic mushroms were not actually interchangeable, even if they did both contain some garlic. :p

    Shame. I love mushrooms. :(

Hi all. Not been on for a few days. 8 months without my 30 a day ciggie habit. Over 40 years of the weed and I then discovered http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_cigarette

Oh joy, now Nu Labour anti fun police are poking their noses into the business and there may be a ban looming. Great, considering that the regular nicotine replacement therapy is not even 4% successful in getting people to quit smoking.

Please tell me not to phone up the estate agent to get a viewing on a house I don't want. I don't want to buy a house ... but am obsessed with looking ... and in searching for one today I saw a nice looking one that ticked all the boxes... and then it also has a heated swimming pool ... and I am ridiculously, ridiculously drawn to this.

I've always fancied lying on a lilo, in my pool, in the hot summer sun ... and it will be summer soon won't it.

Please help me..... resiiiiist. Nobody needs a pool, I'd hate it.

Unless it is an "infinity" pool, tell yourself you will not settle for second best.

Book yourself a viewing and be very sniffy about it not being an infinity pool and who would want a grotty little puddle with a view of next door's fence.
(that should really wind up the sellers, who have convinced thmselves that the hole in the ground was an investment because of its added value.)

If it is an infinity pool. you won't be able to afford the house anyway; unless you have just won the lottery; so no risk in viewing.

OK that's easy; just think of the maintenance costs on the pump, heater and filter system + the chemicals + the time for hoovering all the debris out that falls in....Oh, and they're hardly environmentally friendly.

We looked at a couple of places with pools, but in both cases, in our mind's eye, we had them converted into wildlife ponds. :)
