I wish I had an occasion to dress up for. Not much call for it these days. I need to develop a clubbing habit or some red carpet friends or something, anything.
I love dressing up.
Um, Sunday??
I'm dressing down through.
I did the tacky think of picking dh up from station in a rain coat, fedora and ...well, there were stockings....so it was actually a five piece outfit. I thought it was tacky, DH loved it.0 -

No particular dress code I don't think- I just want a dress for the evening do- I'm thinking black or some black in it because I only have smart heel shoes - too cold for sandals- in black? Knee length? Ummm, I don't know- I'm not very girly really
I have an idea of something like that dress Carol Vorderman made a bit famous? Dubbed 'superdress' or something? Very flattering variation on a shift, I think?
Too many question marks. I'm waffling, sorry
I had a quick look in asos sale and this seems nice....I was trying to work out what the fabric was...diffficlut but you just by a sausage nylon thingy to wear ubder if it isn't very structured.
This is a great shape but fabric may be a bit thin...but flattering, chic and deserves a serious pair of shoes.
Nice quality and ruches in all the right places
My fave is this ...sooooo chic.....but no 12 but it'sd really high performance stretch so a 10 may do..or a 14 and take it in a bit.
Bit over budget but I looked at sale as better value and asos tends to churn stock so always a bargain on there for the better stuff.0 -
Scary prices, fc!
Mybe it's a good thing I don't have much occasion to dress up...0 -

My fav is the second....but it doesn't meet sjays brief of ....boob exposure. I like it though, quite a lot.0 -
Yes, thats it- someone mentioned it on the fashion board- there are no high street look a likies though apparently
I'm not sure I do like girly threads, I feel a bit over-awed by the attention now
Plus, my dress collection might treble in size overnight (there are some very nice dresses around, I've now realised!)
I remember that dress....we bought in an amazing looky likey from an aus label called CKM about 2 or 3 years back. It had a tacky belt that we took off and it sold for about £40. MIL has one and wears it to death. Gutting I haven't got any stashed away in the garage.
I'll have look on ebay...you never know.0 -

You can get a lookie-likie, but not a tailored-likie or a fabric-likie... so the dress will look similar (ish) but won't have the gravity defying tailoring of the Mourret original (as hopefully fc will testify rather than saying I'm talking boll..... Tesco copied it at one point, it was hideous, especially in a brightly coloured size 20. Anyhow, here's an article...

Could try ASOS for something on trend and cheaper. Or for something more traditional, Coast is good for wedding clothes. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I should dress up more, we do have posh occasions...
But by the time I've got the kids all ready (or settled them down if they're not coming), I feel I've done well if I've actually brushed my hair, let alone got posh frock and accessories on.
Re the topic, I have bought some beautiful wedding do frocks at Debenhams in the past - they do have some really nice stuff. As you've got one near you...0 -

Your garage sounds so much more interesting than mine. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
