I`m a great fan of jazz. Not the greatest jazz musician but get away with it. Also very keen on blues, soul and reggae. I do listen to a lot of classical music as well . Very keen on Bach.
I'm just popping in here tonight, as The Who are on Superbowl. I have iPlayer in a separate window here, so I can keep an eye on it, but I've given up trying to understand the game!:o0 -
Thanks. That does help a lot! My daughter was coming up with all kinds of theories. I spotted that the touchdown scored 6, and a 'conversion' another 1.0

Hmmmm.....should have known. It was 'The Who on Ice' really. A quick whip through three or four old favourites, loads of fireworks and lasers and that's your lot. Whoever was on the mixing desk needed shooting too.....
Oh well, what kind of emoticon can I use here? This seems appropriate.....0 -
Hi, having trouble posting elsewhere, not sure if Bluey still read/can read here...but desperately want to say yes see Avatar and yes, most definitely in 3D. will try and expand later on other channel....
oh yes, hi everyone....:)
edit: problem posting resolved...not sure what it was0 -
re silk and sweating....I rarely sweat much under ''ordinary'' exertion. I can, most of the month, go deoderant free, unless exercising I'm such a light perspirer, but in silk I sweat. The number of times I've seen silk shirts/tops with sweat rings on them astounds me; I'm even a little nervous of silk dresses having sen women who don't realise they have a sweat ring. So much so if I'm going to wear silk I sometimes wear one of those 48 hour anti perspirants. I don't ever have a problem in silk jersey, thermal wear or the sort of knitted silk....I'm just scared I will in the more normal sort of silk.0

Nice to have you back, lir!0

I could do with a change of music style now, I might go for some disco too....
....or simon & garfunkel.... i love them).
I also like Johnny Depp, as an actor, although not Pirates of the Carribean!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
Encouragement always works better than judgement.0 -

Hi LIR.........I will post other place later on....deoderant free for us girls as much as possible as there have been rumours and theories that it can prompt (along with other things) breast cancer.
The underarm is a main route out of the body for toxins via pores in form of 'sweat'.
Block the pores and the toxins get confused and can't find a way out.
I can't link to it or verify it in anyway...could be a load of b*****ks but thought it worth posting up.
I did get it from a good source (via my old dad) who told me to only use anti perspirant/deoderant when essential.
Oddly, when I swim a lot, I get no underarm issues at all nor when working from home...but put me in a stressful situation with heating and strangers......I need all the block-up I can get.0 -
Ugh a nice thought about our underarms, indeed!!
fc - perhaps it's the chlorine or, in your case perhaps, the salt water that has the deodorising action after swimming?
I thought the latest research insisted that use of anti-perspirants isn't a problem. But then for everyone who believes an argument, there's another one believing the opposite. So who on earth really does know?0 -
OMG, no anti-perspirant? I used mitchum for years out of fear I might smell, even though I knew I didn't (well, most of the month). DH is horrified when I put anti-p on after shower/bath and before bed.....I never got the pheromones argument...I've never once seen a guy I didn't like the looks of or personality of and been moved to strip because of the way he smells....0
