This one still greatly puzzles me, amongst a lot of others I might add.

Putting our differences to one side you've got to admit the countries finances are in a mess and that goes for the beuraucrats who supposedly are in place to look after them.

    I particularly like this comment:

If I have to pay this totally unfair and disproportionate charge, that`s it. I`m rolling up my rug and heading for the hills. This industry is "barking"! I have clients in all the major indusrtries and when I tell them what is going on they laugh Hysterically. Forty years I`ve been in the trade, I`ve seen criminals and fraudsters come and go but this nameless gang of self serving beuraucrats are the worst thing to happen to our industry in 200 years. Can`t stand it any more. Will write when I get to hills. Take care everybody. Bye.

Must admit I agree with it, but I would and the new term:
“a mindset of reckless indifference” within the FSA.

Surely you are not sympathising with Aifa having to contribute more to the FSCS pot to pay for the Keydata losses?

If you get your way this is the same group of people who will have to stump up even more to pay for your losses at Cameron Farely! Imagine what they would have to say about that!

I’m not that unfair Reaper, my sympathies are with anyone who suffers at the hands of the incompetent !!!!!!’s who are in place to protect us. Whether they be rich IFA's or Richer IFA's incompetence is incompetence.

Of course, it's also a little frustrating for the rest of us who exibit some common sense about our financial affairs to have to indirectly pay the cost of protecting gullible fools from old-fashioned scams such as the one you fell for.

And who then endlessly blame everyone else but themselves.

Try telling that to about 23,000 keydata victims, but probably like me they are not bothered were their money comes from even if it is from suckers like you who have to pay for incompetence.

Enjoy your weekend Rolly, I can call you that, can I? speak to you next week.

    It's a mess Roly.

Keydata was authorised and regulated by the FSA but it passed cash to other companies to invest, most of which WERE NOT FSA-regulated. Some of these companies - including Lifemark - were at best ill-managed and at worst trading irregularly.

    Stay safe

Getting the right financial product can be complicated, and unfortunately there are some unscrupulous people who will take advantage of this to try to part you from your money.
However, there’s plenty you can do to protect yourself from dodgy salesmen, bad deals and outright fraud.
You can help protect yourself by:
    • knowing the right questions to ask when you're buying financial services or seeking advice;
    • knowing the warning signs to look out for if anything is wrong; and
    • being familiar with how criminals operate scams and swindles so you don't get caught out by one.
This section contains our top tips, some do's and don'ts, and other more general things to bear in mind whatever the circumstance.

One wonders what questions were asked of Cameron Farley Ltd with respect to possible unregulated activity about June 2005 when they investigated the company.
No doubt all will be revealed in the fullness of time.

From the above statement Practicing what is Preached seems difficult even for the people that make them!!!!
  • This is a brief message to ask all Cameron Farley clients who may visit this thread to please visit our forum as soon as possible to register their interest in being part of the forthcoming legal action against the FSA relating to their handling of Cameron Farley Limited and the funds lost after the FSA injunction. You can find our forum by visiting our main website at www. FSA UK Legal Action .com - and then click on the link top right called "CFAG vs FSA Forum". (Unable to post links here). It is critical that any Cameron Farley client not yet registered does so as a matter of urgency now, if you wish to take part in the process which will bring the FSA to account for their actions. It is FREE to join.

Legal Action is going ahead - It has taken some time to investigate the many issues surrounding this case but we now have two experienced legal firms who are willing and capable of taking this case to court on our behalf.

A final decision has not been made on which is the best company to use but the word from ALL lawyers we have spoken to is that we have a strong case with a high expectation of a successful claim. It is not in our interest to publish specific details of the case for obvious reasons, however there are very clear principles on which our case will be based and these have helped attract significant interest from a number of law firms.

We are now at the stage where we need to form a list of clients who wish to be included in any legal proceedings which take place in the coming months. Hence the reason we urge all CF clients to register on our forum as soon as possible so that all interested parties can be represented in the action. A search on Google for 'FSA Legal Action' will take you to our site and this is where you can stay up to date on this as it progresses.

I don't wish to address any of the distasteful comments made on this forum from a minority of people who stand in judgement of things they have no idea of. We have found it far more productive to spend time talking to experienced legal professionals instead, and these discussions have led us to a position of absolute confidence that justice will be served for all victims of this farce at long last.

2010 is going to be a better year for CF clients than 2009 was!
