Hi,
I had exactly the same problem with my daughter is now 1. Interestingly she was on Aptimal too! I just used to always carry a spare change of clothes and if we were at home just straight in the bath!
Now she is one is is happening less and less but I always make sure I've got spare vest in case it goes up her back!
BTW I phoned Pampers up about it and they sent me some vouchers in the post!! HTH!!!0 -
The volume of poo means it has to come out the sides or the top. Don't think there is enough absorbency is anything to contain it. Its to thick to absorb in anyway.
I agree, I moved up sizes to try this out when my son was doing the same thing (on Aptamil also) and it made no difference at all.
He went through this phase, and then only poo-ing every few days (imagine the mess when one finally comes after a few days), then back to several a day, and once a day again and it changes every couple of weeks or so.
It's normal, so always carry a spare vest and clothes, there's not much else you can do!0 -
I only have this problem when the baby is in his Jumperoo.
My goodness, the mess he can make while bouncing up and down!
If he's not in it, then I change him as soon as he's done a poo, I'm alerted to his little grunting sounds lol, but with the Jumperoo I can't hear his grunts because he bounces so enthusiastically, I can hardly hear anything else!
I've found Pampers the best for containing everything.
He was/is on C&G though, maybe it's just worse for Aptamil babies? xTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
You have my sympathy! Once when I was a full-time nanny my littlest charge was about 2 and we were sent out one afternoon to do a load of grocery shopping and I had Charles in the stroller. We were out for an awful lot longer than usual but it wasn't till we got back and I got him out him out of the stroller that I realised he'd done a poop. What a poop! He could have won a gold medal for Britain! He was absolutely covered: up his back and right down into his little shoes. I felt so guilty I apologised all the way up to the bathroom to hose him down. Little fella couldn't have cared less, of course.0
