Very well packed I have to say.

Think this is a really nice set and it's probably the poshest I'm ever going to be. :rotfl:

Exactly the same here i dont think i would ever spent a lot on a dinner set unless i won the lottery. We usually make do with Argos :o

I just wanted to say a heatfelt thankyou for directing us to this offer! This is just what I was looking for as a present from my mother to me and my partner for our new home and I'm ecstatic! I went into the Robert Dyas store in Ipswich and they were selling matching Royal Doulton Cutlery - £3.99 for one place setting (knife, fork, spoon, teaspoon), so we bought 6 for £25. We also bought cereal bowls, 6 for £6. And the aforementioned platter was still available at £4.99.

If it helps anyone TJ Hughes is also selling the cutlery set for £3.99 :)
Hi, do you mind posting a photo of the box if possible please?
I bought several sets from TJ Hughes for the same price but could do with a few more.
So I'm wondering if it is the same one.
I have a Robert Dyas a few miles away but don't want to make an unnessecery trip.
    Thanks a lot

  • For those after cutlery, I bought a lovely set from TK Maxx to go with my new crockery. It's quite a classic design, but not old-fashioned so will go with the plates really well. I paid £35 for a lovely 48 piece 8 person setting which even came with steak knives! They did have quite a variety in store, ranging from the <£10 sets to ones that came with a canteen box for around the £50 mark.

  • Last month, when I got my Daultons in for my mum from "Justines" in Dallas Texas, we got a promo for a British Company; biscuitvillage.co.uk
Well worth checking out.. we got a good deal. I used MUN10BV
    It should still work..
  • Received mine! It looks fab. Thanks again OP. I am still tracking down other pieces to go with it now. I am off to Robert Dyas tonight so fingers crossed!

Silly question but the cups and saucers are they for tea or coffee or does it not matter?
