That's what I thought I'm pretty sure that's the case for dvd43 but as AnyDVD is a paid for software maybe it does have that facility.
Myself I'd try and change the firmware though.0 -

You're right upto a point. But there are infact 3 ways of achieving the same ends. first software, second being firmware and thirdly use a non region specific drive. The OP only wants to play multi region dvd's on his pc -not copy them - the programs mentioned only circumvent the copy protection (which is illegal of course!) - they don't suddenly make a dvd drive region free!
Both DVD43 and AnyDvd are effectively the same program, both had the same author involvement as I understand it. The only difference is one is 'free' the other 'payware'. As regards ticking the options I mentioned. It's just a means of making it as simple for the OP as possible so saving time.
I've got it installed on multiple laptops, but the difference here is that the OP maybe in a similar situation to a friend of mine who used up all his 'chances' to select a region and then decided to do something about it. This is the difference between Anydvd and Dvd43, Anydvd gives you those 'chances' back. Whilst Dvd43, has this limitation, but then it's free.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
Interesting, thanks for that ABH!0
