Hi,
Can you add me too.
Hoping to get a new house soon, so saving at the moment ready for the big bills to come.
New to this so can I start at £5k, and up it if I can later.0 -
Hypno - I'm in for £25k....
That will take me debt free and to £10k of savingsPaying down the mortgage:
At 1 October 2011: £226,000
Currently: £224,499
Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
Paid £1,500
Target remaining: 88.89%0 -
Right no more faffing and putting things off.
im 30 in 2010 always imagined i be financially sorted by then but sadly not so 2010 needs to be sort it out so we can buy a house!
my debts = £4900
hubbys approx £9000
Thats just credit cards, overdrafts theres a huge loan taken out too.
I would like to say we spent and lived life of luxury but sadly not we got into debt just to get by as financial circumstances not been good to us during 08/09 but not going to dwell on it need to move foward.
So im setting a target of £20,000 so we can pay off the majority of our debts and pay big chunk of massiveloan.
hubby has sharesave ending end of 2011, pay out jan 2012 which we confident will be worth double and hopefully we will be totally debt free then.
but what would be nice is if during2010 and 2011 i do well in these challanges as it actually means in 2012 we will have deposit for a house!
Maybe have baby no3!pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:
Pay off as much as I can 2011 £15008.02/£15,000:j
new grocery challenge £200/£250 feb
KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON:D,Onwards and upward2013:)0 -
OK count me in I fell spectacularly short of my optimistic 40K target last year thanks to OH's car and paycuts so this year I am going to make my target £30k still more than I paid last year but hopefully no car to buy this year as long as mine which has done 140K keeps going:rolleyes:
So this is not going to be easy but we need to reach these sort of levels if we are going to be debt and mortgage free
I will work out my final total for this year and post on the 2009 thread and then it will be a nice fresh start.
Thanks for the organisation Hypno

Hi Hypno.
Please put me down for £20k......we were a little bit short of that target this year, but with a bit of luck we may achieve it this time. Good luck to everyone else.

Hi hypno, can you please add me to the challenge. I've never posted but have lurked for a while and hopefully taken onboard everyone's tips. I have just under £8000 debt but I would like to aim for £12,000 so that I can finish the year with some savings. You need to be content with small steps. That’s all life is. Small steps that you take every day so when you look back down the road it all adds up and you know you covered some distance.0
