Well its the of the month and the obligatory transfer to savings.

this month we have saved/paid off (as still have my work loan o/s, but its 0% so no incentive to pay off quicker!) £2,375.

Crept over the target for the year, but we are still saving like mad as OH business will be launching in the new year! We have paid over £2k towards this already, so techincally we should have paid off an extra £2,093 but i'm not counting it...

Hope everyone has had a good month!

total for challenge to date: £25,899
    Paying down the mortgage:
    At 1 October 2011: £226,000
    Currently: £224,499
    Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
    Paid £1,500
    Target remaining: 88.89%

Thanks Mel not too bad...had the 5th chemo on wednesday and will have the last chemo 17th november..followed by a month break followed by 3 weeks of daily radiotherapy...then can concentrate on getting fit and healthy again...

Am not thinking of going back to work though for a long while if at all but will decide that in the future.

Just paid a bit more off my Tesco clubcard, but don't count that as part of my total (complicated to explain!). Still, it's all less money owed.
  • Hello all,

I've not posted on here (or looked at the site since February :naughty: because I've pretty much been hiding from my debts. As my son has just arrived (on 10/10/10) I now need to review my finances and get sorted. I am now reviewing savings on car insurance, electric etc and benefits.

I will say that I have still been paying my debts and have paid a few of the smaller ones off :T but now that my little monster has arrived it has spured me on to get sorted again.

I will be back on here in the next day or two with an updated signature and update of what I have paid off so far this year. Plus I really could do with reading through the thread again which will help spur me on to do this and help keep me on the dfw wagon.

Keep up the good work everyone
