I had this same problem once with Yes Loans. They are 'entitled' to keep £5 from the brokerage fee if 6 months have passed and they are unable to provide you with a loan. Though, if it is clear that no agreement is going to be made, they should not make you wait the full 6 months for a refund. If they do this, it is viewed as unfair business practice.
I managed to get my whole brokerage fee back from Yes Loans within 2 months, they didn't even take their £5. The only way to do it is to contact the Financial Services Ombudsman and tell them about your case. They will contact Fiesta and you will most likely get your money back straight away. If they hold a Consumer Credit Licence, they must comply. If they don't, it's your own fault for dealing with them.0 -
WARNING DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.I was contacted by someone with an strong indian accent by the name of Alex Parker from Loans Fiesta UK. I was asked some questions and after a credit check told me the loan I wanted was approved and I had to pay a £50 quid fee. On receipt of the completed forms the money would be released. He asked if I was going to by card - yes what a complete and utter idiot and yes the card has been cancelled. Alex said someone called Impetus Technologies would call me.
A short while later Impetus Technologies called requesting the fee which I paid. The loan documents were then sent to me and I sent them back.
By now I realised how completely stupid i'd been and I have to ask myself why did it take so long for the penny to drop. I should have ended the call when he asked me how much was was available on my card!!!!!!!!!! Although to be fair only £50 was taken - I was lucky.
I decided to look them up on the internet and found numerous negative posts. And yes I have exactly the same story to tell. I was assured the loan would be in on Thursday, then due to office problems it would be Friday, then Monday because it was the weekend and up to now I've now heard all the excuses under the sun. The loan was never paid out but they did get my £50 quid which I never got back.
DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND RUN LIKE HELL IF THEY EVER CALL YOU

I made the stupid mistake of trusting this company and also paid the £50 fee without questioning it. Luckly i got a full refund, it took about four weeks but the money went into my account yesterday.
I work for the NHS so spoke to the legal department and then sent Loans Fiesta an email informing them that if the money was not refunded in full then i was passing their information on to the police and also to the financial ombudsman.
As soon as the police were mentioned they asked for my bank details and the refund was made.
My advice to anyone in the same situation is threaten them with the police.0 -
I was contacted by Loans Fiesta following an application made by me online, I paid them 75 quid for a 7k loan that I needed to consolidate my debt. After a week had passed by with no progress I called them on 01923 888 547 and spoke to a guy who introduced himelf as George (yeah right !), I was very furious and told him to refund my money since they obviously had done nothing to get me the loan I needed.
The bloke was adamant that I needed to sign an app form and send it back along with a refund letter mentioning my bank details to intiate the refunds procedure, which I did, 3 weeks had passed with no contact and I was kicking myself for being totally daft, to my surprise I saw £70 into my account a few days later, this was around 3-4 weeks after I had sent the letter, I personally found them better compared to other loan companies as I atleast got my money back since I have been ripped of twice by some of the big boys in the market.

after reading this forum i think i had a lucky escape as i was about to pay £50 to this company, they promised me the loan would be paid in to my bank on friday. The man i spoke to was Indian and i could hardly understand him. He gave me the number 01923888547 to contact him and hsbc bank details ac: 21786199 sc: 40-07-13 IMPETUS TECH UK. The website offers an 0800 number but nobody takes your calls so please beware if you are dealing with this company as reading this forum people have been given the same number i was and i believe this to be a scam to rip us off!!!!!!!!!!!0

I advise you to be very careful i was given uk office number and hsbc bank details which i am now taking up with hsbc and the police, this is a scam0

Be careful with cancelling cards, if the bank just issue a new card but you've given the company authority to deduct funds they may still be able to take money from the account. Call the bank and ask just in case they've just issued a new card and not put a block on it.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hello to all,
1st time user so hope to hear your comments.
I contacted Chance For Loans recently and unfortunately was conned into parting £50 to apply for a loan. The money has been taken out but have cancelled my debit card since.
The process is you contact them and they will approve you the loan requested. I did have difficulty understanding the operator but in the end they asked me to send in some information, for example bank statements, payslips etc. They then sent an application form in electronic format for me to sign and return the documentation.
You can see what they are doing:- Deduct a fee which you did not sign for.
- Sending Bank Statements and Payslips is open for them to abuse and use fraudulently.
- It is clear that they dont seem to be registered under the FSA or have a licence
- and abusing innocent and vunerable people.
My suggestion would be to get your credit file and use the online search facility to see if any lenders will provide a loan based on your circumstances. At least you know that the lenders will have some credabilty other than the shameless, unethical operation that is Chance for Loans and Loans Fiesta.
I hope to get my £50 fee but expect that it wont be refunded, but will contact the FOS and will consider contacting the police to report this unethical and fraudulent business.
So for those that are desperate for a loan, emotion does take over and we make Irrational mistakes, but hope this thread will keep genunue, law abiding citizens informed of this scum of the earth.
Best wishes to all :mad:0 -
hiya i havent been scammed my girlfriend has and now im the one sorting this out (she did this without even speaking to me).
obviously this company is a scam, they have no respect for people (obviously if you need a loan you need some cash so why would you pay someone to borrow-unless its a broaker and then youd only expect a compedative 7.7% interest not 15-16+),no business ethics, or follow the law.
taking this into consideration they are almost an untouchable company not even being registered properly. im self employed and pay my dues and so do many others so this is an outrage.
what can we do? firstly a boycott on using the site is a start, poepole please stop giving them money and spread the word that this company is a scam (word of mouth can make or break a company). it would save a lot of people a lot of hassle but under stressful times its easy to persuade people by offering them what they want in this case its a loan of (x) ammount.
so in respect of this being a ghost(scam) company where the law does not apply and since they dont care what they do or how they affect people maby a baseball bat is the solution.
i do have a god complex everyone who knows me knows this i have lots of employees i drive a big 4x4 etc i respect others aslong as i am respected back (treat others how i want to be treated). im not a christian but i follow the 10 commandments-ish.
companys like this need to be put out of business the police, trading standards, fairtrading etc cannot touch something that isnt legally there (same kinda thing as immigration laws) they have to hide behind so its up to the people to do something about it. im not saying a shotgun is the answer or harming any of the employees but maby if you are owed £80 that has effectively been stolen from you id say you have the right to take one of their pc's to settle the account i know i will be and im going to be doing a rough 180mile round trip costing me more in fuel than than this whole things worth but its the principle crime doesnt pay.0 -
Dear All
Just to let you know that I have instructed my bank to investigate the company transaction and advised them that they are fraudulently withdrawing money from my account. It may take up to three weeks to return the funds. Also, if you have used your debit card, cancel it right away and ensure that no further withrawals can be made, you must get this confirmed by the bank.
I will keep you informed of the outcome in my case.
