Loans Fiesta
Hi, recently i was worried about my finances. I was getting caught out at the end of months with Direct Debits...plus i took some bad advice on a credit card which i was in arrears with.
So i decided to goto the above, who gave me the promise of the monies i needed to pay off my current debt with some left over for Christmas. In my stupidity, without any documentation i paid a process fee. Sure enough, there was a problem and the loan wasnt there at all.
With the help from my brother, i sorted my finances and i'm looking good for the future and paying all my debt (mortgage aside) off in a year and a half.
However, i am still owed £50 from Loans Fiesta, who said i would get my process fee back. Everytime i call, i am told i will get a call back as the worker is on another call.
Anybody any previous history of this and a solution or am i screwed. Its only £50 in the grand scale of things, but its my £50!!
Thanks for any help
Scott

Taken from a post below. You should be able to get your money back.0 -
How much have you already wasted paying them for your phone calls??
Do you realise every time you phone them you are giving them more and more money??
You will not resolve this over the phone!!! stop throwing good money after bad!
They are laughing at you each time you call.
The whole website shouts SCAM so I can't offer any further advice to you.0 -
Hi
I wouldn't hold your breath, I fear your fifty quid may well be gone forever - but that's not to say you shouldn't try and get it back.
You are entitled to your fee back less £5.
The address they say you should write to is:
Refunds Department, Loans Fiesta, 104 Building 3, BRE Estate, Watford, Hertfordshire WD25 9XX
I must say the website is extremely amateurish, they can't even get their own phone number right on the homepage. Also have a look at the website 'WHOIS' look up below and note it was registered by a dodgy Indian marketing company and shown as a 'non-trading individual'.
Best of luck getting your cash back, let us know how you get on.
Regards

An Update
I recieved a call on Saturday, which i missed incidentally, from loans fiesta. The message they left was from the accounts department and they said that it was 4 months since my application and they couldnt find me anything suitable, so were in contact to refund my monies.
Spoke to them today and they said they would be putting the £45 back into my account (minus the £5 they legally charge) and the monies would be back in tomorrow evening.
I can only expect that they have seen this post. Cheers for all the help people.

Hi did you ever get the money back0

I have now had two amounts debited £25.41 and £45.11 (the second amount without my permission) - and guess what no paperwork! Phones not being answered. Writing today to find out how I get a refund!0

I recently lost my job and applied for a loan via chanceforloans.co.uk and got a call from the loansfiesta guys within a few minutes. They told me they could help me apply for a loan but I'll have to pay a processing fee of £20 which would be refunded if the app is rejected. The guy at the other had a thick Indian accent that I could barely make out what he was speaking. I was a bit hesitant in giving my credit card number but relented when they told me about the UK company details which are :
Loans Fiesta, 104 Building 3, BRE Estate, Watford, Hertfordshire WD25 9XX
They took out the money and I never heard from them after that. I have been trying to call them for the past 4 days and guess what, nobody picks up. I live in Watford so I went to their office and did some investigation and found that the company is being run by one Mr. Jeff Lewis in collaboration with some Indian call center. They also have a couple of debt management companies running in the same building.
I have emailed the details of this elaborate scam to OFT and they are looking into the matter. Will update when I get OFT's official reply.

I wrote to them last week (after I too couldn't get through to them) and received a call on Thursday to advise that the second amount debited was an error due to another customer having a similar card number to mine - a likely story!
I was advised both amounts debited would be refunded to my account via their HSBC bank account that evening. Here I am now 4 days on from that call and nothing in my account.
My advice to any of you who like me have given your card details stop the card now to stop further funds being debited. The small print on their website states they reserve the right to retain card details to debit further funds for fees etc.
To lose the £25 in the first places but it's now £70 at least I know now they can't debit further funds but it's an expensive lesson to learn.0 -
Don't go anywhere near Loans Fiesta, I was only involved with them Friday gone and ended up having to cancel my debit card.
I got suspicious after they would not answer the phone to me the very same evening, the non-understanding english, Indian man told me they were chance for loans, yet when I rung the number from that website it was an american voicemail service. Also chance for loans was not listed on yell.com. This person Frank did not even know where in Watford his office was and had to ask where it was. The address they gave me is No 3, 14 Buckland Lane, Watford, WD25 9XX.
The next day I got through to them and he told me that the person answering the phones must have just gone to the toilet!!!! I told him they were legal then i wanted to see the paperwork first, I had cancelled my card and that I did not believe who they were. This Frank then told me that the company is Loans Fiesta, part of Chance for Loans.
He promised to send me the paperwork but I don't care now, i am not dealing with them.
Stay away from this "company" as they will do more harm than good. I am luckyh and was able to cancel my card before tney took any monies.0 -
Loans Fiesta has been dogging me for the last month or so, following an online application for a loan through LoanFinder. Loanfinder are scam artists well, they have debited me £47.80 and fortunately I found out from my bank that they had set up a direct debit for the same amount for the next 4 months! Needless to say, the dd has been cancelled. I can't afford the money, hence why would I need a loan.
Through LoansFinder, Loans Fiesta have called me about 4 or 5 times offering me a loan, all approved etc. The first time they called me it was a person with an extremely thick Asian accent, who said his name was "Robert Wood"; he couldn't even pronounce his own name properly! Anyway, he said my loan had been approved, he wanted me to pay them £85.00, which he said was a processing fee and that it would be refunded once I had completed all the paperwork which would be delivered by their company's own agent at my door step. I stopped the call right there and said absolutely no way, no one gets anything till I get something in writing from them, even if it's just an email confirming that the loan was approved would be great, and he argued with me and said it wasn't possible; in the end I put the phone down on him.
I have enough sense to know that a fee is not payable in advance of any paperwork or the release of the loan itself. He called me back and said his supervisor wanted to talk to me. A woman who's name eludes me(with a thick Asian accent), said that UK finance regulations state a fee can be charged prior to releasing a loan. I've never heard of this regulation, I just said I wasn't interested in using their company, they sound like a real Donald Duck company, definitely not professional and certainly not legitimate. She really got annoyed when I said this, really arguing and shouting....I just put the phone down on her.
Anyway, I've been the recipient of a further 4 calls from the same person (he seems to have forgotten that he's spoken to me on previous occasions), and every time the processing fee is a problem and the funniest thing is that the amount of the processing fee reduces all the time, last count it was only £25.00. I just put the phone down on them.
Today someone else with an equally thick Asian accent called me to say my loan had been approved, his accent was so thick that I couldn't figure out who he said he works for, but just assumed that it was Loans Fiesta. I said that if they wanted an upfront processing fee, then I wasn't interested, he said "No, there is no processing fee, this is a 100% bona fide loan, no fees etc". So he goes through the process, but at the end he says he needs my bank account details to send the money to me, I said I'd wait for the information to arrive and put those details in the form once I had satisfied myself that I wasn't being stitched up (...words to that effect). He wouldn;t accept this and he wouldn't get off the phone, in the end I said I needed to talk to my bank about giving my bank details over the phone and that I'd call them back, he was extremely insistent that he call me back - so I made an arrangement for him to call me back this coming Monday morning. I intend to speak to my bank when the counter opens on Monday morning, I am not sure if giving them my bank details over the phone means they somehow have access to my account, but I am wary of anyone who asks for these details, particularly if I can't verify who they are and which organisation they work for.
To anyone who wants a loan, there is no such thing as an administration fee, processing charge or whatever else they want to call it, due in advance of a loan being dispersed. If the so called lender says it's a condition of the loan and that it will be paid back once the loan is dispersed to you, don't listen and do yourself a favour and put the phone down. Don't give out your card details on the phone, don't give out your bank details on the phone.
I called Trading Standards and they advised me that there are no provisions instituted by the Financial Services Authority where a customer has to pay a processing or administration fee.
Use your common sense and go to a reputable lender. I can't because I have a couple of CCJ's (a gift from my ex husband!), so now I'm a hard up and struggling single parent, who doesn't receive child support because her lovely ex husband has registered himself as disabled, even though both he and I know it's a lie, but at least I've only lost £47.80!
If a loan sounds fishy in any way, or too good to be true, I can guarantee you that it is too good to be true. I used to work for a bank (a good 15 years worth of experience), so I know, but even us wise old birds can get screwed over by these people. So, be careful and ask questions and if it sounds glorious and too good to be true and that all your troubles are going to be solved, then it's not legitimate and what you should do is report it to Trading Standards like I have. The more people who register a complaint, the more ammunition that trading Standards will have in stamping this and other similar thieves.0
