not able to pump air into the tyre

    I had the same with two of my tyres. Inner part of the valves where slightly short, so most airlines didn't quite press them in. Odd one or two did though. I had new valves fitted, they just broke the bead with the machine, then swopped the valves with the tyres still on, (machine still clamping the tyre in), fitted new valves, and the balance was still when checked ok as the tyres hadn't moved.
