BMW 320d, tried a couple of times but not able to pump air into left front tyre ... the flat tyre warning would be on if heavy stuff put into the car. Thanks for any advice

Possibly the valve in the tyre is broken, could you try a couple of different pumps.

tried the pumps in different petrol station... if the valve inside the tyre's broken, is it economical to fix the tyre or just simply replace the tyre? Thanks for the reply

The valve can be replaced, but still the faff of removing the tyre and re-fitting it/re balancing.

Your call on if it's better to replace it, how worn is it that will be the deciding factor.

it's a four year tyre but in very good conditions, i will try a number of pumps again and if it's still not working out, i think i'd go to costco for a tyre change then, thanks for everyone replied

only if you have a good spare!!

try spraying some WD40 or soapy water onto the valve and carefully push the valve spindle in and out a few times,it may be stuck

or if you have a valve tool totally unscrew the valve spindle, clean and then replace and try that

If it's just a new inner valve piece required, it'll be pennies (if not free if you ask nicely)

A new valve complete would cost about a fiver fitted maximum.

What price is a new tyre? £50 or so?

I wish my tyres would last for 4 years and were only £50!

£125 per corner, and I get around 18 months out the fronts and 24-30 months out the rears.

Yes the valve is only a few quid, but it's a good 15-30 minute job to do.
Cost of fitting is included in the price of the tyre usually, so the cost will be more than the part in this case.

If the tyre is good and you're thinking of scrapping it just because of a faulty valve is almost the same as saying,'well i'll never get a puncture repaired'
I say this 'cos i have a slow puncture at the moment ands trying to decide, repair or replace.
