Does anyone have any idea when its released? As am very tempted to hold out for this phone instead of getting a HD2 mainly because of the Android software as opposed to Windows Mobile.

In same boat but will ikely go for Hero. Passion Dragon etc wont be released till at least Feb maybe later and will be expensive.

What about the Motorola Milestone (or Droid as its known in the US)?

I'm pretty sure that comes out on 7th December in the UK. :T

Motorola do make good hardware and have always failed on the software side but now they have android then the phone could be a gem.

It obv wont have the sense overlay like the HTC phones and personally Im going to wait until reviews are out for this phone and I can see one. Not sure how thick the phone is because if it's chunky ill be put off. The slide out keyboard also puts me off a bit. WOrth a look though

The HD2 is a monster and i dont see much else competing till at least jan/feb, its already been anounced it will get a win7 upgrade and when an android version is released the xda-developers mob will have a rom you can flash onto it.
