Parents of toddlers!

Toddler Taming, Christopher Green. Every Home Should Have One if there's a toddler in it!
I used to put DS2 into tights under his trousers, because otherwise he'd pull off his socks and shoes and then howl 'cos his feet were cold ... not that THAT should be a problem in this weather! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Yes, fantastic book! My favourite bit is where he says that if your toddler is driving you mad, go to a fast food restaurant as you are bound to see a child behaving worse than your own!"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."0 -
And it's nice now watching other people's toddlers misbehaving in public (as long as they're not screaming too close to me!) and thinking how glad I am that mine are safely at home. Teenagers wouldn't dream of coming out shopping with you, only do it if they have to!Crispy_Ambulance wrote:Yes, fantastic book! An astonishing proportion of toddlers do survive to be teenagers. Whether all of mine will survive the teenage years is another matter, but the parents of toddlers probably don't want the reasons for that just yet ... :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

I have that book too, it's absolutely brilliant and I bought it just at the time I was thinking of putting her up for adoption (or contacting the X-Files as I was sure someone had swopped my child with an evil alien)
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Have ordered it today!

Thanks for all the advice.
If I had all the money I'd spent on drink, I'd spend it on drink.

My first child didn't have the terrible twos, she never had a tantrum and it was all down to my wonderful parenting. :A
My second child brought a super size portion of humble pie for me, she forced me to eat it while wearing a hat that stated "My First Child's Behaviour was a Fluke"
My days are filled with headaches and exasperation. I feel better knowing that I'm not alone.
Anyone want cream with their humble pie?
Just run, run and keep on running!0
