Hi I have managed to book a room for me dh and 2 kids, my brother in law has also booked a room for him and his kids and my 2 friends have also both booked rooms for them and their kids, Weekend break awaya with family and friends FREE you cant go wrong.
I also spoke to the man at pontins to find out if there are any catches etc. He told me that this is the first year that they are running this christmas event so are hoping by giving away free places we will recommend them to friends etc for next year.
I was told on the phone that there will be santa and his elves, band, free ice skating and skate hire as well as a chritmas pantomine and kids clubs.... I cant wait I have been looking for somewhere and something to do for the kids for chirstmas for ages and everything seemed to be sooo expensive!!0

We went to Southport in October and my kiddies (7 + 5) had a great time. I took cleaning stuff, and a sleeping bag incase the bed settee mattress was a bit rough. The whole site is just generally a bit knackered, but it was all clean enough and warm enough. Kids had a great time even hard to please teenage step daughter who'd been dragged kicking and screaming.
I think it's a case of expectations, it sure aint centre parcs, but then it ain't centre parcs prices either. Re food, i didn't go overboard for the food on site, but the drinks prices were definitely reasonable, and the on site shop was the same price as my local asdas. And loads of resturants in the town just go armed with your MSE vouchers. (Didn't feel fleeced on-site, as I did at Haven).
Kids loved the blue coats, the PGL stuff to do, even a chilley swimming pool kept them happy. Dancing with the YMCA with Chuckles the monkey, and watching the blue coats doing a scooby doo show - well, it's their kind of thing. Me, I got to read a book and watch my kids have fun. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful.
It will definitely do. They want to go again, and are as keen on it as centre parcs, even teenage step-daughter.0

I also went in June to Camber, and have the photos, it is a pigsty and should be condemned. After 2 days we all left as my Grandson got a skin allergy, and I got a chest infection from the mould. My Sis went to Camber in June and cried when she got there. The photos and video she took of their accomodation were unbelievable. I wouldn't let me dog stay in one!0

we went to camber a couple of months ago and the rooms we had were ok, no mould, nice and warm, hot water and clean bedding even though we said we were taking our own, was a bit shabby ie carpet could of done with being replaced and we did ask for an extra mattress for the pull out bed because it was not comfy but they brought it straight away.
to be honest my boys dont really like the entertainment side any more far too noisy for them but we practically spent the whole weekend on the sand dunes and we all had a great weekend, they liked the swimming and the crazy golf. all very basic but we only paid £30 for 3 nightsnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0
