  • My Sis went to Camber in June and cried when she got there. The photos and video she took of their accomodation were unbelievable. I wouldn't let me dog stay in one!

Stayed at Southport in October & it was horrid. We went only because friends of my sister dropped out of going when they read the reviews & we agreed to go in their place, paid them the money they would've lost so they didn't loose out & regretted every penny!! It was truly awful. We upgraded to the Club rooms & what a disgusting state they were. We usually go to Butlins & will never call their standards again. There was the mould, the dirty carpets/sofa/walls, the incredibly basic standard of fittings & the tiniest bath I've ever seen (we almost confused it with a bidet/footspa!!). The worst part was the overpowering smell of damp/mould that even an air freshner that we rushed out to the shops to buy, couldn't mask. It almost made me gag every time I went into the room.

If it hadn't been the fact we were with my sister/b-i-l & their kids, we'd've driven straight home again. There was nothing in the way of entertainment (there really is no comparison with Butlins on any level) & I would really advise people that even though it sounds like a bargain, it really is worth leaving alone.

The camp is isolated & away from everything (apart from a beach). The food & drink is poor quality & very overpriced, so you need to drive to Southport for decent meals. I just wouldn't like people to be as disappointed as we were when we got there, however much of a bargain it sounds.
Everything I wanna do is either illegal, immoral or fattening! lol :rotfl:

I took my grandchildren to Camber on the earlier £25 offer, the accommodation was basic but clean, the staff were helpful. We took our own food and only needed the £20 that we had in Pontins vouchers for spending money. The kids had a good time and so thanks very much for the information I have booked this Xmas break.

I cant comment on Camber sands or Southport but we also went earlier in the year on the £25 offer to Brean. My kids had a brilliant time. As berylc said the accomidation was basic but clean. We staff were excellent and the entertainment was faultless. If Brean Sands was part of the offer I would not hesitate to return again!

can anyone do me a link to hte page as the one on hotdeals isnt working for me for some reason?
  • noooooooo wish I would have enough money. We went to Camber this and last summer on the offer things and loved every second of it our rooms were clean both times. Shame other people have had a bad experience, We usually pay £250 for 7 day Haven and have had bad experiences there but still go back and to different parks and have enjoyed loads of holidays with them. This year we decided to just go to pontins for 4 days as it saved us tons of money and our little girl enjoyed it as much as Haven.

What link was you looking for??

If you want to check out the sites, go to Pontins website.

    Or

If you want to book, you need to call number in OP and quote the ref code *N996*.

******** Just to remind you, free rooms at Camber is (apparently) fully booked but you can upgrade to 6 bed for £30. ********

Can get 6 bed for £30 ATM, Free rooms at Camber are (apparently) gone...but £30 still seems good, especailly if you can split the cost by bringing some friends??
