Just to clarify for the people that jumped on this thread like Oldernotwiser ( clearly a apt name ) the £64 a week rent i pay is set by the council and is for board only, i pay it to my mother as she has to actually pay them, i buy my own food, pay for the electric, sky, phone and internet

My brother pays £7 out off his JSA and that amount is set by the council

Thanks for the useful info DX2, Dippy ill get my mother to ring them first thing monday morning

Just because the council allow £7 doesnt mean he has to pay your mother that.

You surely can't think that the council gets involved in setting the rate at which adult children pay for their keep? How does your mother have to pay the money you pay her for your board to the council?

That is what the amount the council worked out he must pay towards his share of the RENT as i stated, the rest of the bills are split. And your correct i asked for info and help both of which your reply wasnt. Dont mean to offend but i cant see why ou posted if you didnt actually have any help or info to put forward:rolleyes:
