Post Office Home Phone With Broadband - worth the switch?

Hi all,

I've just got a few quick questions regarding the above phone and internet deal. Do you have to pay line rental with BT with that deal, and does anyone here have the above deal, and if so is it any good? The reason I ask is because the post office doesnt really seem like a good ISP.

Thanks guys

I've been with post office home phone for couple of years now. Their call centre is based in Irelandand they provide great customer service. Free calls to mobile's all weekend too.

My auld dad is 84, he's a pure breed creature of habit who hates change, however after having huge problems with B.T. overseas call centre's. He's also with the post office now, hw thinks the service is outstanding. ;)

Hi dex91. Post Office rent lines from BT Wholesale in the same way we do (BT Retail). Therefore, if you have service with PO you would pay them line rental and not BT Retail.

  • Yep, another vote for the P.O here too. I arranged it for my mother who's a pensioner and can't afford a lot, and it's much the cheapest for what she wants, being that there are no LLU providers in her area.

Have had no problems with the service at all, she's happy. :)
