Here's the instructions off the webite and a link to contact them on:

Provided you have fulfilled any contractual agreement you may have with your current Service Provider you can request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from them.

We need your PAC number before we can begin the transfer so you'll save time if you contact your Service Provider first. To bring your mobile number to O2, here's what you need to do:

    1. Contact your current Service Provider and request a PAC code. PAC codes are valid for 30 days from the issue date and will also act as notice of termination for your old account. This means you will not lose service until the day of the transfer.
    2. Buy a combined O2 mobile and SIM card or just a SIM card but please ensure the O2 SIM will work in your mobile.
    3. Click on the 'Contact Us' link below providing the following information:

    • The number you wish to keep
    • New O2 mobile number
    • New O2 SIM card number
    • The PAC from your current Service Provider

Once we receive your request, we will arrange your mobile number transfer and reply with your transfer date.

This will take five working days from the date we request it. Please remember that the date of request may not be the same date that you sent the details to us.

put the o2 sim card in ur fone (the fone may have to be unlocked first if its the same fone you got from orange) and call 4445 or alternatively call 08705 678 678 from a landline.
There is an option in the recorded greeting for porting your number, although if you just press anything to get someone on the fone, they will be able to help you.
They will ask you for the PAC you got from orange and some other details.
The complete process takes around 7 days, meaning the o2 sim will have iots original number for the 1st 7 days, then it will change to the new number (the one you ported-in from Orange)
On this day that the change takes place, the orange sim will become useless.
You may also find that your service is interrupted on both sims during this day (but for 1 day only)
