Ds2 is looking to get a mobile phone for Christmas. He is very keen on the Lg Cookie. He has never had a phone before but is intereste in texting and the odd picture messaging. (I think)
Which paygo tarrif would you recommend?
I see that O2 are charging 25p per min for the first 3 mins per day...that seems really expensive to me......

TIA

O2 have a basics package for 5p a txt and 15p per minute, I was on 25p a min and just moved to this.
Orange have a tariff for 3p a txt and probably 25p per min. DS1 on this.
DS2 is on T Mobile,3p a txt and 15p per min (Known as text appeal tarrif).
Once you get on with a provider if you are not happy with deal just phone and ask for your pac code( required to take your phone number to another provider) and they usually offer you a much better deal. Both Sons were paying 15p a txt originally and they now get 5 for price of 1.:j
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

One of the Orange packages, Dolphin, gives you 300 'free' texts when you top up £10. Calls are 25ppm and picture messages 30p each. It also gives free access to Facebook.
