How are you feeling about it all today, spangles, now that the vodka's worn off and you've had a sleep on it all?
Once you get everything organised you will probably want to post up a full SOA (statement of Affairs) for this eagle-eyed lot to cast their collective peepers over. You'll be amazed at how much you can shave off your outgoings, which means more towards paying off the debts.
Chin up. take it one day at a time :)

    Hi Wuckfit,

I feel loads better about things....now i know payplan are going to help me, things dont seem so scarey. I will post an SOA when i have all my figures sorted. This site has really helped to! Thank you :D

  • Thanks gardis.

Well after opening all my mail,....i have spent the day looking over and sorting into order all my statements. Looking at the various credit cards/ catalogue charges and repayment cover i am thinking of trying to reclaim them. That would wipe some of my debt off. Not sure whether to do it or not though as it does seem if i am doing to payplan that it might be taking the mick.....lol

Definitely claim back your charges where you can - it is all money that you can make good use of, and it won't impact on your payplan course of action at all.

Well done on continuing to face up to it all - it is empowering and somewhat liberating, isn't it!!

    Hi Hypno,

Thanks for your post,....and yes it is liberating!...I know theres a long way to go....but i cant believe how much better i feel just facing it!...wish i had done so months ago :D
  • Well.....week later and a little progress. Payplan have worked out a budget for me and it allows £120 a month for my unsecured debts. I have a month to sort out another bank account.....trying for a basic hsbc account, although nothing through yet. The lady at payplan said i will be debt free in just over 4 years!,...not as bad as i thought. I just need to cross my fingers now that once my creditors know i am with payplan they ease off a little. Quite excited to think i will be able to answer my phone/ door without quivering. Just got to try really hard to do well at Tescos so that i stand a chance of getting a job with them in the new year if any are available. Thanks everyone for your advice and support,...it seem that first little step is the hardest.
