Hi, Welcome to MSE
Compensation for what exactly?
Contact Amazon and see if they are willing to refund the £50.
It's happened to other here and they have been refunded.
And remember in future to read everything before you opt into somethingTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

As you were given the option not to sign up for Prime, and you admit yourself you weren't paying attention as it does state that you will be signed up for it, you won't be entitled to any "compensation".
Amazon are quite good, and as long as you haven't used the benefits of prime, if you contact them they will normally refund the cost of Prime.0 -
That's OUTRAGEOUS, they've charged you for a service you signed up to? Crikey, my first call would be to the Police! Demand 2 years free Prime as compensation.0
