hi all,
just been on a site i always use+this pop up appeared...started scaning my pc telling me it was infected...so i shut down pc then restarted it,ran windows defender,then spy bot...they picked up nothing.
done a search on my pc for ALPHA ANTIVIRUS+found nothing so i then done a system restore just to be safe....
will it be ok to go back to the site??//

Running a system restore when your infected is a dangerous game as you can easily make things worse if viruses etc are hiding in the restore points

Log looks clean but to be sure ~
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Post the log COMPLETE here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

ok ive tried to download malware but half way through installation a box appears saying....DESTINATIONS.
the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM.or other removable disk that is not available.
Insert the "DESTINATIONS DISK"and click ok.
use source.

I think you fail to realise that malwarebytes is a tried and tested program

The fact it wont work off both sites indicates you definitely have a problem on your computer - factor in the fact youve just had an infection im pretty sure your STILL infected
