I'm sorry I disagree - the principles are important here.

In fact if I were the OP, after launching an initial complaint and with them making problems after problems, I will retaliate and demand that they not only make things right, but award a suitable amount of compensation (not goodwill gesture)....

... Which in the long term we all end up paying for, with higher APR's and more fees. But well done for having morals, even if they do cost us all money.*sigh*

And why the hell is someone thanking you for posting that? !!!!!!??

Because they can see sense. I agree that the company shouldn't charge you money that you don't owe, but i'll bet in the small print somewhere, there will be some reason you DO owe it. The computer generally doesn't make a mistake. Not unheard of, but not very likely.

    Cheers Neas :-)

I was just pointing out that I personally thought a charge of three quid isn't worth worrying about as theres bigger problems in life really. If Wrangler5 doesn't have bigger fish to fry, then I'd suggest that person is VERY lucky!

Getting stressed about nothing is a quick way to an early grave, unfortunately! Life is just a game, play it, and more importantly ENJOY it...

arrow.gif Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

For God's sake. Are you really that unable to read plain English? I

Comes off as condescending and angry.... which was my point. Even if the guy suggests you just pay it... he does have a point and so do you.

Yes you have been overcharged.... and yes you are entitled to the 3 quid back.. (which is prob 2 pound something now)...

But... from your posts it seems your getting really stressed, frustrated and annoyed with the company over something small enough to be lost down the back of your sofa.. or out of your pocket on a night out on the town.

Both of the sides - Forgety it for health reasons and chase it for moneysaving reasons... have merit.

    So again...

Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

Even if you disagree... don't be shouting at the poor chap....

I DO agree with Wrangler5 - if Vanquis are indeed in the wrong, and really shouldn't have been charging the interest then it is bad, but *my* point is that for the sake of a few quid, getting upset and stressed isn't the best use of time or effort.

I know from my own experiences how difficult it can be to sort out such an issue, so for the sake of an easy life, my personal suggestion was to pay a couple of quid and forget about it - not a money saving tip, but on this occasion a stress reducing one.

I also agree with Neas, there is NO need for shouting/anger on the forum, we are all adults here, after all :j
