Bradford & Bingley eISA

:confused:I applied for a Bradford & Bingley eISA transferring from a Halifax ISA on the 7th October this year received the necessary paperwork from them saying they had sent a request to Halifax for transfer. Four weeks later I telephoned them up asking how long it is going to take to transfer, And I also told them I had received a letter from Halifax saying they have closed my ISA with them and that they had sent B & B a cheque. B & B then told me that the cheque had got lost and that they had requested a new one. Two weeks later I logged into my eISA account and all was set up and the money was showing in the A/C. Today I have received a letter from them with a stopped cheque from the Halifax also the eISA A/C has been closed. I know Halifax and Bradford & Bingley are bust but this is ridicules. Before I contact them and go up & forget to come down  would someone tell me how do I stand ? IE the money is now out of the ISA + if I manage to get it back into the ISA who is responsible for the lost interest. I have had ISA’s since the early 1990’s but nothing like this has happened before, but on saying that I have had problems with their savings accounts .

Bradford + Bingley are not bust, they are now part of the (sh)abbey empire,an organisation worth avoiding.

My money has been lost from the Principality to Bradford and Bingley. BB have requested another cheque.
  • Update:-

The next day I contacted Bradford & Bingley about this mess up between Halifax & themselves, I have to say I spoke to a member staff who appeared to be quit in tune with my frustrations. I felt confident that she would sort the problem out. Sure enough I logged into my internet account the next day and the money was in my eISA account the cheque must of just turned up that day :rotfl::rotfl: Thanks goes to her. It amazes me when you get cross  with people things get DONE. I am now trying to get to get my interest backdated.
I have not been living on MSE for some time so excuse me if this has been posted before. I also had a 1 year fixed term eISA which matured on 01-12-09 I had no contact from Bradford & Bingley about the impending maturity of this eISA & so they automatically put it into an ISA with an interest rate of 0.1% When I contacted them ( by the way for those who are against 0845 numbers I used 0191 295 7961) to sort this issue out. I asked why they did not inform me about this, Company policy is they don’t, you would of thought they would try to get you take up their current promotion :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: . Make a note over this or you could be losing out too.
