I Sent Praise To Starbucks & Got Vouchers That Make Me Look Like A Complainer

Don't get me wrong, I was over the moon when I got the vouchers. I had sent a flattering e-mail last week praising one of the barista's at my local Starbucks. She makes a perfect drink every single time, unlike the others in there who often miss out on toppings, add too much milk etc. Anyway a kind lady said she would be sending me some vouchers = happy days! However the vouchers arrived this morning and the text inside reads along the lines of "We apologise that your experience was anything but wonderful...blah blah.....we hope your next visit is better." Again, I'm over the moon I get to have a few drinks on the house, however I really don't want to hand these over and have the staff there thinking I made any complaints as I did the exact opposite. Obviously I can't complain about this, it would be incredibly rude. But just wanted to express my feelings

I'd be inclined to email them again about these , pointing out the 'awkwardness' that might occur! Its a bit silly of them and, if you don't point it out, they won't review the wording for the future.ELITE 5:2

Email them back and complain about their response and you'll get more vouchers!0

Lol I can assure you I'm not worried about getting anymore vouchers. I'm glad some of you agree that it would be a little awkward and even though I hadn't made a complaint, they'd definitely think I had!0

if you got to the same one every time you must kind of be known there? next time your in hand over a voucher and tell them "I got this voucher for giving positive feedback on this store" that way you get to use them and not feel bad xx0

This isn't a bad idea, that way you tell the people in the store that you didn't complain and not only does that take away the awkwardness but they might be able to send feedback about the odd phrasing of the reply up the ladder themselves. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
You could always take them a thank you card. Write in it that that their service is always great and you hope head office have passed on your thanks because when you wrote to tell them, they were kind enough to send you some vouchers for some free drinks. It's lovely to receive a thank you card and so much more gratifying coming from the customer directly rather than through head office.Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!
