Perhaps wait until you have a couple of possible options before choosing. Sometimes when people own a product they focus on the good points without mentioning other factors because it makes them feel they have got the best bang for the buck and their printer is the best. I for one do that all the time. I'm not saying jap200 is lying but you might find one that does tick all the boxes for a cheaper price .
I should hope not: that's a hell of a thing to say!
I, for one, most certainly agree with the advice of jap200 (unless somebody else is going to be buying the ink) – and we have three HPs, two Canons and a Konica Minolta (laser). From my own experience, I would always favour a Canon.
A good source for all Canon kit cheaply is here.
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

Bought one of these the other week to setup for father-in-law:
Epson SX515W - all-in-one job - £80 from Comet/PC World/Amazon
(Google the above and you will see plenty of choice of where to purchase from)
Comes with black/cyan/magenta/yellow cartridges and simple to setup wirelessly on XP/Vista.0 -

Goodness me Patrick20! I'm glad you are 'not' suggesting that I am lying. I was simply giving my honest opinion of the printer I have purchased after lots of research!
I am a medical writer running my own business and am using this printer for that as well as home and family stuff.0 -

I wasnt suggesting that you were being false. All i was trying to say was when you own a product sometimes you are influenced by personal feelings instead of facts. I was just saying NEH should do a bit of research too. Surely that is sensible advice?
NEH thanks for the link for that printer i think i may buy that.0 -

Yes of course it is sensible for everyone to do their own research and asking for advice on here is part of that. However, I am not sure about your other sentiment - people clearly don't just report positive views on items they owned - take a look at a selection of reviews for almost any item on Amazon and you will find very mixed reviews!0 -
In the end we went for this Canon one....
